Grand Avenue Pub — Restaurant in Beloit

First time here on November 24, 2023 to see The Jimmys at 8 pm. Arrived early to get a good seat at the bar. The all women bartending staff were friendly, fast and very attentive to customer requests. Started with a Spotted Cow craft beer made in Wisconsin. 👍👍👍👍👍 Then a Bacon BBQ cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and crispy onions and fries. The pub is clean, well lit, nicely decorated with lots of memorabilia. Lots of space between tables. The Jimmys started a few minutes after 8 pm to a packed crowd. The band was incredible, in particular the piano/ keyboardist. The acoustics and lighting for the performance were excellent. Saw a few friends and met some very nice new people. Great place to enjoy a Friday night! We went to see a band play and had a blast. The cheese curds are so good but the portion size is barely enough for one person. Go for the giant pretzel if you want to share! Drinks are randomly priced I've been there twice and it was more expensive to get the same drink at the bar then when we ordered as a table. Service is very slow if you want to be waited on. Waitress was great but they seemed very short staffed as there was only one maybe two people waiting tables. I was there for real big band DANCING! They do this the first Sunday of every month. I just watched, had a blast. I'd say all skill levels, including none/just having fun. I'd hire the band in a heartbeat. Very good food and drinks, sensible prices. Owned by a local human who was there(!). Parking is close and there's plenty. I asked inside if they enforce the 1 or 2 hour street parking limits on Sundays, the guy laughed and said don't worry about it. What's not to love? I save my 5 stars for a place like this that is doing something extraordinary...
