Disappointing Experience - Health and Safety Concerns

I recently ordered from Chinese Wok through DoorDash, and I must say that the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Unfortunately, I have to share this experience to raise awareness about the health and safety concerns I encountered.

Upon receiving my order, I was shocked to discover roaches in the food. Not only was this disgusting, but it also had serious consequences for my family. My daughter fell ill after consuming the contaminated food, and this was incredibly distressing for us.

What made this situation even worse was the restaurant’s response. When I contacted them to address the issue, they refused to take responsibility and shifted the blame to DoorDash. This lack of accountability was both disappointing and unprofessional.

Moreover, when I raised concerns about the health and safety standards at their establishment, the owner responded with rudeness and hostility. It is essential for any restaurant to maintain a clean and safe environment for its customers, and it is unacceptable to treat customers this way when genuine concerns are raised.

I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before ordering from Chinese Wok. This experience was not only a financial loss but also a risk to our health and safety. I hope that my review will help others make more informed choices and prompt this establishment to address its hygiene and customer service issues.

I might I add DoorDash also refused to refund my money and asked for proof of my sick child leaving no choice but to contact a lawyer please be safe if you’re eating at this...

I unfortunately have finally made my determination on this place and that is that it would be much better to try a competitor such as Oriental Garden down the road in Raymore.

The food from this establishment is mediocre on it's best day. The appetizer items were the one redeeming quality. Beef dish rarely have enough beef in them and what beef there is is very poor quality and incredibly tough. The chicken dishes are completely absorbed with grease and the oil tastes as if they haven't been changed in months. Rarely do you get enough sauce on your entrees either.

Their precautions put in place for Covid are make it very difficult to pick up an order on a busy day as they literally are using their front foyer which is barely bigger than a phone booth and that is it. Meanwhile they sit half way in the main room and continue to take orders with absolutely no way for anybody to check on their order or to be checked on.

The straw that broke the camel's back for me was the 1 hour wait I had on a 20 minute order with absolutely nothing said to me. Once I finally was able to check on my order (40 minutes in) I was quoted with "almost ready"...20 minutes later I was told the same thing. They can keep their food that was only worth it when you needed something quick. If they can't deliver on that, then it's absolutely...

Oh my goodness!! If you want delicious food for a great price, this is the place. We had our food delivered and we were awed when we opened the bag, then again when we opened each container. Soooo much food!! My son ordered the combination fried rice and he said it was the "best" my husband ordered the chicken and broccoli with the sauce on the side and he said it was "fabulous" when I took out one of the chicken wings my son said "yowsa!, mom it looks like a whole fried chicken leg" oh and the chicken on a stick -people all I can say is YUM!

My only complaint is that I wish the chicken in the cashew chicken wasnt coated. I am doing low carb and I think my numbers will be off tonight. That said, it was very tasty and lots of chicken!!! (next time I will special order and I'm sure it will be lovely.)

Oh and we were quoted 40 min for delivery and it was here in less than 30 minutes. This is now OUR Chinese food place. So glad they...
