On May 15, 2025 at about 1735, my husband went to order me 8 spicy thighs and tenders from this Popeyes location. The cashier, whose name is unknown, told my husband he cannot get his order because it’s against their policy. Another woman approached him and told him he cannot get 8 spicy thighs because their policy said so. My husband asked to see the policy, considering we only order 8 spicy thighs each time we go here. The cashier proceeded to say, “if it’s not a policy it don’t matter because the GM said no”. My husband asked for the manager, which at that time the other lady standing at the front, who identified herself as Cory, stated she was the manager. My husband informed her that she’s been there almost ever single time that he has ordered my food for me and she never had any objections until now. The cashier proceeded to say, “you can’t get the same piece of chicken”. And rolled her eyes. My husband told her she’s not the manager so he has nothing else to say to her. Cory, the shift manager, informed myself and my husband that the GM is Charles Wilson and he told them no one can get the same piece of chicken even though we’re paying for our food. The cashiers attitude needs to be addressed. She applied for her job and if she doesn’t want it or like it, she can quit. Everyone don’t eat white meat, so to tell someone that they have to pay for something they don’t want, is insane and I’m sure it’s NOT a policy. I also filed a complaint with the BBB, because there’s no way people can make up rules just because they don’t want to cook more chicken. It’s...
Read moreSuch a horrible, horrible experience. After waiting twenty-plus minutes to get our food because they ran out of tenders, they brought the order over without one of our two orders of fries, without the two extra biscuits we ordered, and without the ranch dressing. After telling the person behind the counter about the missing fries and biscuits, she asked if they had any more fries, and was told no. She then asked of they had any more biscuits, and the response was again no. At that point, she walked away. She didn't apologize, didn't offer a refund for the missing items, nothing. She JUST WALKED AWAY! At one point, I went to refill my tea, and of course they were out. The condiment area was empty and trashed, and the garbage cans were overflowing. For about the last ten minutes we were there, there was a gaggle of three to four employees at various times talking to someone at the counter and playing with someone's kid. No one was concerned about the trash cans, the condiment area, the empty tea dispenser, or our missing food. We were the only two customers in the restaurant at that point, and it was only eight o'clock--- two hours before closing time! I can only imagine how terrible things are in the places customers can't see if they care so little about how the restaurant looks and how little regard they have for...
Read moreUpon this chain opening up, the entire town of Belton and some of Temple could barley stop talking about it. I've been all over the US so it was no big thing to me. But here is simple fact, people are paying for the name, and with the portion size of food they're giving to their customers compared to what is being paid for is ridiculous. I can tell you right now that this establishment will not me booming for long. They will have their few initial customers that come to see what the hype is all about, but as for return and customer retention I don't see it happening. Bush's chicken along with other establishments will be just fine.
Want a story, no problem. My dad bought the 10 for $10. He got just that, about 7 legs the size a little bigger than a drumette, and 3 "breast" the size of wings. Don't quote me on the ratio between legs and "breast".
Although I know things are changing in the economy and companies to need to strategize in inventory control etc.....but this strategy of skimping the customers won't last long. People know what to expect when they pay for something, especially if they have had popeyes in the past at other establishments.
In the end it's just a chicken spot and isn't worth too much more of my opinion, but I figure I 'd let someone know and possibly upper management can make some...
