I seldom dine on "chain" restaurant hamburgers, but Wendy's and Whataburger can periodically get my attention. This Wendy's location is a reliable example of what this chain has to offer, with the meal being freshly made. The Pretzel Bacon Burger won me over and it was a fair approximation of what is shown in the commercial. I used the drive through, which could lead to a higher rating for service when using the lobby. I rated four of five stars because cars were being instructed to park and wait for someone to bring their meal. Not a deal-breaker, but I was handed my frosty and drink right up front, so I want the remainder of my order before the Frosty starts to melt. "Is Wendy's better than Whataburger?". The answer is "no" because neither is copying the other, and while the breakfast menu at Wendy's is going to better suit some commuters for eating in the car, while the Whataburger menu is not, Whataburger offers shakes and other items not generally found on Wendy's menu. Read moreBusiness continues! This location didn't seem ready to even BE open on my first visit. They were short-staffed, so only the drive-thru window was operating. Props to the employees that showed up, right!
Their line almost wrapped around the building. Yet, I can say it moved fairly quickly. From the time I read their notice on the door, to actually receiving food, it took under 15 minutes.
The only other tiny mishap experienced was they didn't have any straws for our drinks. The person who took the order was calm and attentive. Focused eye contact was made showing me he was listening. Plus they accepted the mailer for "FREE food" promos we receives. Nice!
The food was very hot - LOVED - and I personally love Wendy's anyway! We were still able to manage having hot meals - no big deal about the straws.
They're perfectly located next to a new Starbucks location as well, and across from the movie theater. There are more positives than negatives. I do hope this location gets up to speed soon, to handle the traffic. Thanks to the employees that...
Read moreCompletely dissatisfied with the customer service of the man working the drive thru window today (12/22/23). I pulled up into the drive thru, it took roughly 30 minutes to get to the box to take my order, and I'm greeted with "we'll be with you in just a minute" i said, "ok." I waited 5 minutes and politely asked. "hey, I'm just making sure everything's alright in there?" The man in the window replied, "DID I NOT JUST TELL YOU TO WAIT?!" That's when i asked, "excuse me?" He repeated himself. "did i NOT - JUST tell you - to wait?!" I've worked as a crew trainer for years in the fast food industry and you do NOT talk to your customers that way. I would've been extremely apologetic if i were in his shoes. Like, "I'm so sorry about the wait, but i appreciate your patience today. We'll be with you in just one moment." That's all he had to say.
