Dave's Pizza — Restaurant in Bemidji

I had the chicken bacon Alfredo specialty pizza and it was just bursting with flavor.

Initially I was annoyed that there are no substitutions on specialty pizzas because I would have asked for extra peppers, but I'm happy to announce that my pizza was topped with a big pile of extra everything. Awesome!

The crust had a slightly yeasty, garlic bread, brick oven thing going on. It was great, I just wish it were more crunchy.

I almost didn't order this pizza because the description said it included "bacon bits". They are not bacon bits, they are bits of bacon! Really though, I was worried I'd end up with a mouth full of Bacos, which would have sucked. Those belong on salad, not pizza.

The employees had great attitudes. I even heard one of them singing along to Guns 'n Roses' "Paradise City " in the back. I'm sure Dave would be proud to know that people are rocking out these days while tossing his pizzas!

Problems:

The biggest problem with the location was that it reeks like moldy carpet. I'm so sick of these small joints allowing this to happen!

How about this for next years' project everyone? Pull the carpet out! No one is cleaning it and it reeks!

2 microwaves. What are those for?

Not enough parking. I'm guessing most of the spots were taken by the 5 or more employees that were there because there were only 2 couples dining in.

On a final note, let it be known that the only 3 star review was from "Moose", a person that considers Arby's worthy of 4 stars.

My sister and I ordered 2 small pizzas for delivery, a small sausage and a chicken bacon ranch alfredo. We waited an hour and a half for them. When the delivery person arrived, I asked if there was a receipt, he said no.  Mine arrived with a very dark top. When I called to let them know the gal who answered said that I could have another one made or receive a credit. She stated that it would take another hour and a half. I asked why it wouldn't be pushed to the front of the line and she said they had lots of orders to fill and if they are delivering in my area it's possible it could be sooner. I asked for the credit, but here's the thing - it's a store credit, not a credit back to the card used. Not sure why I'd want a store credit since it's already a bad experience but I took it cuz I didn't want to wait another hour and a half. She said next time I should request to have the pizza baked on the 'light' side. Um, I didn't know there was such a thing.  I told her it should be baked the correct way the first time. Dave's did not live up to the hype I've heard about from so many people. With so many other options in town, this place would not be in my top...

My family and I visited from Minneapolis a few days ago. While in Bemidji we wanted to try some of the local places for dinner. Dave's Pizza did not disappoint! Upon entering we were greeted with smiles from the staff and we followed the sign to seat.The decor and seating is a bit old school, but it only adds to the charm. The restaurant was very busy, but we found a booth. My one daughter went with the kids alfredo and my other daughter and I ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza, with breadsticks to share. The breadsticks came out quickly, they were amazing! Hot and fresh! The pizza was delicious, perfectly cooked! The kids alfredo was so so, but my daughter enjoyed it. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful and did a great job of checking in on us. Our meal was a little on the spendy side, but for the quality it was worth it! All in all, if we happen to visit Bemidji again, we will definitely make another stop at...
