Lively Up Yourself — Restaurant in Bend

I cannot say enough good things about my experiences at Lively Up Yourself. This is my go to for vegan comfort food and it's so incredibly addicting! I have been coming here since they opened and I have to say not only is every single item on the menu absolute deliousness, the owners are like Angels on Earth! They are the sweetest and most kind humans which adds to the magicalness of their food. If you haven't added bacon and avocado to any of the Mac bowls I highly suggest trying it. The owners have been so dedicated to accommodating to anyone who comes by (I continue to show off this place to friends, new and old) and they love connecting with their customers. This makes it feel like home away from home. I saw a few reviews mentioning a previous employee that does not in anyway represent the awesome experience the owners provide. I also had a run in during his time there and while I can validate the other reviewers feelings I can also assure you it was a very temporary hire. My kids and I love this place so much. Would give 100 stars if I could! For reference, I’ve been coming here consistently for a year now - I’m from NYC and my standards for food and service are both sky high, and rarely these days do I feel like either are met individually let alone together - but lively takes the cake! Not only is the food soooo so good, but the owners are genuinely the best humans possible. Our interactions never feel fake or forced, they are just sincerely lovely people who remember every detail that I tell them, humor my random odd requests, and if they’ve ever been having a bad day you’d literally never know. They are the type of people you want to support and I wish nothing but all the success and growth in the world for them! Lively Up Yourself livens up my soul!! I have been a repeat returner to their happy cart for probably years now. I have never been anything other than ridiculously pleased with what they do. Case in point: I was having an unusually tough day recently, and decided I need some nourishing comfort. Headed on over, and left with a bitchin chk'n sandwich and potato salad. THIS was what I needed! Presented with love, and looking that it did not want to remain hidden in some to-go box, my lunch also seemed to be accompanied by celestial music. Yes, it was that good. A little bit of crunch, a little bit of spicy, a little bit of tangy, all orchestrated in perfect harmony. Sigh. I will remember that lunch fondly for a long time.
