If I could give more than five stars, I would. I travel for work, and I eat a lot of pho. What I put into my mouth today -it was so amazing I couldn’t help but tell the staff how impressed I was with the quality of their food. Being a marketer I don’t hesitate to speak my mind positive or negative but there is always a way to do so with kindness and tact. When something is good I will let it be known and when something is bad we definitely take the time to write up a review, and in reading some of the negative comments that have been posted recently regarding this restaurant I can only say number one you won’t find pineapple in Pho. Number two - if you have a shell fish or seafood allergy, you should not be eating Vietnamese or Thai food as fish sauce (not to be confused w shellfish) is almost always an ingredient in almost every dish and quite frankly you are the problem not the restaurant - do your homework. Some of the other negative reviews, in summary, translate to that individual being an impatient person. When you go to a Vietnamese Thai or Chinese restaurant, or any other ethnicity for that matter there’s almost always an accent of that individual’s native culture, or speech pattern in any particular staff member. Be patient, slow down and above all make an effort to listen, you will find that everyone here is quite attentive and willing to please. This is their livelihood for certainty and they surely will strive to give you their best, whether service or food. Spend local, shop local, and this location is family owned and operated and I fully support that. Every single time I return to Bend I will be a patron. You had me at my first sip. *try and guess the amazing and stand out ingredient within the house made hot chili oil, then tell the staff what you think it is. Happy mouth, happy tummy, great dining, enjoy! You’re welcome, yes… YOU - the reader of this review. And P.S. to the owners, do not be afraid to tactfully respond to your reviews. You got this (wink) you have...
Read moreWe’ve been living in Bend for 15 years when we first moved here we went out at this restaurant the worst service we have had five years later we tried it again. The same thing the food was so salty me and my wife we could not eat it over the years we gave them another try just last year, they would not even come help us at our table after we sit down and waited and waited not only that I had two hours to kill one day because our RV was getting fixed down the street so I went in there to sit down and have a cuppa tea. It took the guy 10 minutes before he asked me can I help you so I was curious the tea was a dollar and something, I went up to the counter. I was checking out. I said I didn’t have any cash. I just have a debit card and he says I’ll have to charge you to use your debit card for like a dollar and something I said OK that’s fine. He never asked me would I like. Something to eat. Never asked me anything. I stayed in there for over an hour. The worst serviced worst food. I’ll never go there again.
This is in response to the owner. I am sure I have the correct place. I’ll never forget you guys. I don’t make mistakes like that. It just took me a while to get around to write in a review about you. Never know I just might walk in there one day and you have no idea who I am , I’ve been to hundreds and hundreds of restaurants service is the number one thing on how I am treated at a business. You can’t treat your customers like that and at the same time ask for money. You really need to check with your employees on how they’re...
Read moreThe experience was a mixed bag, with some standout positives tempered by noticeable drawbacks.
Pros: The food was the highlight of the visit. The phở was fragrant and flavorful, with a rich, well-balanced broth and fresh herbs that elevated the dish. My mom's dish was plentiful and really well made, the portions were generous and with a fresh look. The restaurant’s recent remodel has given it a fresh, modern look, with sleek decor and comfortable seating that creates an inviting atmosphere. The bathrooms were magnificent, with brand new floors and sink, good soap and squeaky clean walls. The environment is clean, vibrant, and perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. ----&---- Cons: Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food or ambiance. The waitstaff seemed unprofessional, with some appearing distracted or disengaged, which made the dining experience feel disjointed.
The first person we saw was wearing a somewhat revealing licra pants with a scruffy hairdo. The male who provided us with the water and silverware was wearing white dirty crocks with white dirty socks looking as if he had just come from playing.
The waiters attire felt out of place for a restaurant setting—casual and somewhat unkempt, which clashed with the polished new remodel and detracted from the overall professionalism.
Mr. New Owner, we have dined in this restaurant for years, and we like it! Please pay attention to the...
