I want to start by saying that this is a fast food chain, and I understand that expectations should be reasonable. So take this review at face value and use your best judgment.
We have seven kids, so McDonald’s is a place we visit from time to time. This time, only one of our kids wanted McDonald’s, and we decided to use the app to redeem a free 6-piece kids’ meal. The app specifically stated that this was an eligible item, but when we tried to order, the employee told us we weren’t allowed to get it.
I politely asked him to check the app, as it clearly showed the item was eligible. He was short and dismissive, saying he had no control over it. When I waited with my phone to show him, he finally glanced at it, rolled his eyes, and told me to “take it up with a manager” in a very rude tone. When I agreed and asked for the manager, he seemed even more frustrated—despite just telling me to do exactly that.
Thankfully, when the manager arrived, she was polite, professional, and immediately fixed the issue without hesitation. While I appreciate the manager’s help, the experience was frustrating. I always try to be kind and respectful, knowing that working in fast food can be stressful. They want you to use your kiosks like you work there then it’s only 1044 and they have no breakfast items. None horrible where is McDonald’s and her privately owned should’ve stayed corporate not good. Megan paid $16 an hour to stand around and look at a computer and have no customer service skills whatsoever and I’ve never heard of a McDonald’s not having any breakfast items like a sausage biscuit past 1044 in the morning very ridiculous. It really needs to go back to a corporate store at least corporate you have regulations where you have to have breakfast items to a certain time and then still carry certain breakfast items throughout the day and I don’t believe that they would have it right where no one even greeted you when you walked in for 10 minutes ridiculous they don’t deserve $16 an hour. I wouldn’t even pay him five dollars an hour and yes I do on my own company and yes I used to manage McDonald’s when I was a teenager of course but I have to managing restaurants for over 30 years I could say this being privately owned I wouldn’t be proud of that, because use her as a The Owner have failed the corporation of McDonald’s...

My large order was missing all of the fries, so I called the store to ask if I could just come and pick up the fries myself as I had already paid for them but hadn't received them. However I spoke with a young lady named Cory she said that she was management for the day. However she was indescribably rude and dismissive of the issue. During previous mistakes I've always been able to call the male manager ahead then drive over to get the missing item myself. Unfortunately though Cory told me my only option was to get the item refunded through doordash. When asked if the item just didnt get packaged she blew my off completely and repeated herself in a harsh tone. I work in food service and have for many years.
