The last 5 visits to this place have been the most AWFUL visits i have ever had at KFC. This time, I was stupid enough not to check my order before I got home. BIG MISTAKE!!! We got to the speaker in the drive thru because, for some reason, there were signs on the doors saying the lobby was closed, and placed an order for an 8pc ALL WHITE original meal with 2 orders of mac and cheese and 1 order of French fries. We repeated 3 times that we wanted all white meat original. They agreed that's what they heard each time we reminded them. We have to do this because often they get this wrong. So we finally (after 36 minutes) get to the window, where they told us that they don't have enough white meat in original would we be willing to take the extra crispy and they would throw on some extra chicken. We agreed. Before we left the window, we again confirmed that the chicken was all white and asked for ketch for our fries. She said it was white and handed us a handful of ketchup. After all that confirming our order, I didn't think I had to check, so we went home. When we got home we opened the bag and found that there was 1 order of mashed potatoes(no gravy), 1 order of cole slaw, and 1 order of mac and cheese. The chicken was mostly all original DARK MEAT there was 1 extra crispy breast and 1 original wing. Wr live 20 minutes from there, so going back was not an option for us. The only good thing I can say is that for once the biscuits weren't hard as a brick, which was nice. We spent $40.00 on this dump of a meal because of the incompetent employees that work at the KFC in Benningtom. Shame on me for thinking KFC will ever be as good as it was when I was a kid. You have lost a customer for good, and if this service keeps up, I don't see how KFC will stay in business for such longer. We were there around 5pm on Tuesday 02-25-2025. I received charge of the wrong order, a order $30 more then mine, was then told my money would be refunded in bout 4 days & then received cold food on top of paying for my order as well. Which I never do or request but that meal should of been comped or discounted due to the mess up on worker. I now have to wait for my money to refunded & as well had to throw out half my food due to it being cold. Will not be coming back. If people are incompetent they should not run register and I am absolutely disappointed. Especially when the cashier knew she messed up & tried pinpoint the issue on me for agreeing when she said "12 piece". I ordered a"12 piece nugget" & she was not clear when saying that it was a 12 piece tender. That was indirect communication on her part & then told me her "manager had come deal with it" & walked away. Holding up the line for another 15ismins. When received food, half my 12 piece was cold and the chicken sandwich my friend order was cold in the middle. I am now without almost 80$ for a mistake that was not my fault & the situation could of been handled better with no excuses made. The manager could clearly tell I was upset & did nothing to really make the situation feel better or admit it was on them. There is no proof of my refund & when asked I got a snobby yes & was basically pushed to go bout my day, which made me uncomfortable to confront bout my food. This also make me question how many time she did this on 9/7/24 about 330pm. We were in line for 25mins to wait,before this mess happened. I drove an hour way for a waste of time, money & food. This KFC/Taco Bell is literally the most disgusting fast food restaurant I have ever been to. Dead bugs (including multiple huge moths) all over the floor. The tables and floors all look sticky and like they haven't been cleaned in a month. The ceiling was covered in yellow and brown grime. Trash overflowing and spilling out onto the floor. I counted 5 different flies swarming in a group near the register when I was ordering. And why are there big sauce streaks all over the walls of the kitchen?! It was beyond gross!
While we were there we verbally confirmed out order with the cashier and she did not put it in the computer right so we ended up missing our wedges and Mac and cheese we ordered. When we entered there was one staff member outside smoking, when we left there were 3 all at once smoking with each other. We spent 25 minutes inside because they apparently forgot our order and we had to give them back the receipt and have them make it, which I feel like wouldn't have happened if half of their staff weren't on a smoke break. I felt so grossed out that I didn't even sit while I waited, I didn't want to have to deal with mystery stickiness on my butt.
Also, none of the staff were wearing masks, which should still be a thing with the surges and variants spreading. Honestly I'm not comfortable having a stranger cook my food without a mask on because of covid. I want my money back for this...
