The Grille at Mount Anthony Country Club — Restaurant in Bennington

Having come to Bennington for Many years... We finally decided to try the Grill at Mount Anthonys. It was a quiet Friday night, which always gives the kitchen more time to execute the food. Shrimp cocktail were great in size & cocktail sauce was spot on! The crab cakes were only food disappointment of the evening. VERY bland, as the bread filling was very pasty... Crab had to have been pureed in? Lacking any flavor... The salads were fresh & maple vinaigrette! My main entree of Apple stuffed cheddar chicken was delicious! Juicy chicken and al dente apples with a maple demi that was outstanding. The service here is very casual! PAIGE was our server and did a very good job. Its not fine dining by any means, very family oriented , casual atmosphere. Paige had great demeanor and was very positive. I dont return to many places.. I will...

Hi, I just wanted to take a minute and let you know how OUTSTANDING Mother's Day Brunch was. Let me explain we were all suppose to be on an Alaskan cruise that day, and last minute it all got postponed. Of course we didn't have any reservations. I live in NY, I just started randomly calling country clubs, I'm glad I found YOU! In the famous words of Anton Ego "OUTSTANDING" from the food, to the service, to the just everything. Our waitress was amazing, the owner/others helped, checked on us, the food was prepared FRESH, served FRESH, just WOW. We had an excellent time, and we're already planning to return for Easter!! I know people take time to write the ugly comments, so I wanted to take time to say WOW just WOW...Great job, Great food, and really helped us turn around a very sad, sad, sad week....

Sat on the patio with the spectacular views of the gorgeous golf course and Green Mountains beyond. Shared lunch with friends so had the benefit of tasting three entrees! My Fish and Chips was superb—great crunch on the batter, I’m a tartar sauce snob and theirs was so flavorful, and awesome fries! I also tried the Vermonter salad and the Grilled Portobello sandwich—all fresh, well prepared! It was good that on my way out of town I ordered a Turkey Club to go—thick cut roast turkey and bacon—oh my! The Grille has really elevated the pub menu to an art form—if you’re anywhere near Bennington...
