I visited this McDonald's on a Saturday morning. It was not busy at all. The morning shift manager was a young black guy and I went in the drive thru and ordered a plain egg & cheese croissant w/ no meat and 2 hash browns. I confirmed with the first window cashier, when paying, that it would not have meat of any kind. She said it won't. I pulled to the pickup window and confirmed with the second cashier it shouldn't have any meant. She confirmed and a minute later handed me the food. I pulled into a parking spot to eat and the croissant had a slice of ham or some kind of meat.
The total I paid was $9.31 for this small order and was annoyed that the sandwich still wasn't made right. I calmly, after taking a few deep brearhs, walked into the McDonald's and the manager told me he would be with me in a minute because there were two customers waiting inside. I waited and when he approached me, he asked "what's wrong" because he was also at the window when the food was given to me. I mentioned that I confirmed twice that the sandwich wouldn't have meat and it had meat. Before I could finish, he clearly became hyper and I asked him to relax and that I just wanted a refund because you never send food back at a fast food joint unless you want to eat "more" than your sandwich so I politely asked for a refund.
He had just seen me at the window but still asked me, while clearly angry, if I had my receipt. I said I threw it out in my car but would happily go get it if he really needed it. HE paused for a second and then asked, "What did you order?" I told him and he punched it up on the register and motioned for my card and processed the refund.
I dont know which is worse to be honest. The mistakes by the two girls at the window, the one who prepared the sandwich, or how upset the manager got when I wanted to raise the issue with him. You can pick what you find worse but I then went across the street to dunkin, ordered the exact same thing, and paid $6.28, 33% cheaper, and enjoyed my breakfast.
The manager clearly needs some management and customer service training as that is no reason to be upset with me. The error was theirs and yet I was made to feel like I was being a jerk. Best wishes to McDonald's but perhaps your managers would benefit from said training and how to conduct proper customer relations.
Thanks...
Read moreIm not in the habit of ordering fast food but sometimes i get a craving for something unhealthy and packed full of delicious-ness! MICKEY- D's has just the right kind of menu for those times. Also, i absolutley love their "Shamrock" Shakes. They usually put them on the menu for the month of March in honor of St' Patty's Day. If they still have some product left at the end of March, you can still get one in April. Anyways, i was having one of those cravings yesterday and i just saw an advertisement for the McDonalds App. So, i thought I'd give it a try. I was able to order ahead ... ( after downloading and registering in the app) all kinds of wonderfull goodies as well as choosing a couple of the handy coupons (also available once you register on the app) I loaded in my form of payment then Clicked on "Check out" and headed over to my local Mickey D's. I chose to go inside but the option is there if you wan't to go through the drive-thru to retrieve your order. And then, it went kinda like this ... I approached the counter. . Just me, my phone and noise's coming from my empty stomach...... and clicked on "Im here" and then i clicked on "take out" and .... Faster than you can say, " uuuggg, i shouldn't have ate that stuff" my order was bagged up and ready to go! Off i went happily sipping on my delicious (large sized of course) Shamrock Shake! Then about 3 more blocks of a drive to the house... ( blindly digging in the bag on the passenger's seat) eating French Fries cause you know ya just can't wait till ya get home to start chowing down...i enjoyed every bite. The app was very handy and i would definitely use it again. The McDonalds where i live can get crazy busy and this app enables you to bypass all that. Even the line inside. Plus. Ya get all kinds of great coupons within the app. I know it's a guilty pleasure but...im like super skinny so i could go with the excuse that i need a couple pounds so I don't blow away in a strong wind.... lol. Awe man.... now im thinking about their "Chicken Nuggets" here I go again.... ya just got to...
Read moreAt least my food was served hot. When I arrived nobody was taking orders at the register, one of the kiosks was out of order and the one I used was buggy and did not provide me with an order number or ticket and the screen on the wall showing order status wasn't working either. I stood at the counter for several minutes saying "Excuse me" and trying to get someone's attention but was continually ignored despite at least 4 staff members being in the front (and the store was practically empty, 2-3 guests max) once I confirmed that they had my order I waited for a short time until my food was served. First, it was missing the sodas and milkshake so I had to wait while they refilled the milkshake machine then I had to remind them again about the drinks. The McDonaldland shake was haphazardly slapped together and looked nothing like the photo and certainly not appealing which was very disappointing to my daughter. After sitting down at the filthy table (every table was dirty, the cleanest one I found had little pieces of hair all over it) I realized they forgot our nugget sauces as usual. I went back to the counter and again said "Excuse me" several times to no avail. 4 guys stood there chatting, 1 in a yellow shirt looked right at me and never bothered to ask if I needed help despite me saying Excuse me, it was like I was invisible. I've seen this trend in most fast food establishments, the staff keep their backs towards the counter even when they aren't expediting orders so that they do not have to engage/acknowledge the customers. Finally the man next to me who was waiting for an order pointed to me and told them I needed help. Of course by the time I got my sauce my nuggets were cold. The music in the dining area was so loud that it was unpleasant and difficult to hear my own child sitting next to me. I will say that while the service was poor at best the staff was polite when...
