Scoopy's Homemade Ice Cream — Restaurant in Benton

This was my Great Grandchildren’s favorite spot for ice cream for the past two years. They always get a small cup of chocolate and enjoy adding sprinkles. We always place the cup on a napkin and clean up the table when we leave.

Yesterday I was appalled when my Great Grandchildren got in the shop before me as I was locking car up. Immediately my Great Granddaughter told me that “That man” had told her…., “ Don’t make a mess today”…., I asked the Man (Ethen) what he had said. He went on a rampage about them making “a mess” several times in the past. …. I was astounded at his rudeness. The kids then told me that they always felt like “That man was watching them and one time he took a picture when they had chocolate ice cream on their face!”

I have always stayed right with the kids and we have always cleaned up the table when we left.

Needless to say we left and will not go back to Scoopy’s. They act as though they are “Family Friendly”…. But “stalk” children while enjoying chocolate ice cream and ridicule them. We then went to Baskin Robbins where the kids enjoyed a Rocky Road Cone and our business was appreciated.

I am appalled at the response below from the owner who grossly exaggerated the syrup incident that occurred one time… which afterwards I started pouring syrup myself. As an ice cream lover I eagerly awaited the opening of Scoopy's. After they had been open for a few weeks I finally got the chance chance to stop. I opened the door and made it about 2 steps when I looked up and saw the place was packed with adults and kids. No one was wearing a mask except for me. I turned around and walked out. I don't make malicious, false reviews! My timeline is probably not correct. The reason the review was made late at night is it was the first time Google asked for my opinion. I stand by what I stated. No one was eating when I entered and no one including the adults were wearing face coverings. It is your choice whether to wear face coverings or not as it is mine whether to patronize your establishment. I hope y'all do very well and I look forward to visiting you in the future when...

We stopped in at Scoopy’s Ice Cream and it was such a treat! I had the chocolate peanut butter and banana, and my husband had the triple chocolate with chocolate chips and chocolate sauce. Both were delicious, but I especially loved the banana ice cream...it was so fresh and creamy. The best part is that she makes it fresh when you order, and you can definitely taste it! The flavors are rich, the portions are generous, and the atmosphere is so cool with all the cute ice cream signs. Definitely worth a visit if...
