Gold Town Sushi & Korean BBQ — Restaurant in Bentonville

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE A LARGE PARTY. We came to visit yesterday for our sister’s birthday. Our initial thoughts were that the staff was extremely accommodating; however, towards the end of our visit this place became a nightmare. First, when we ordered we asked for a Combo C with no pork belly and extra chicken but we’re given the pork belly. When we tried to correct the issue, the waitress said they couldn’t correct it because they had already brought out the food and couldn’t take it back. So we were left with food we didn’t order unless we wanted to place another order for chicken?! She told us she would correct the issue on our ticket to match a Combo B - spoiler alert: she did not. Second, to get refills on drinks. Forget about that. Two separate times people ordered drinks and had at wait 30 minutes to receive them, remind the waiters, or just cancel the drink orders because they were tired of waiting. next, when we go to checkout, the cashier was extremely rude. Rolling her eyes and hugging her breath at us in frustration. We were talked into splitting the Combo C among four of us which was supposed to be reflected on the bill; however, the cashier tried to charge us for the whole plate. When we tried to correct her that it should be split and a discount was to be added for the kitchens mistake all they would offer us was $10 when it should’ve been the cost of a Combo B. The cashier didn’t even know how to properly split the bill so we had to tell her how much each item would have cost and THEN TRIES TO ADD ADDITIONAL CHARGES to our check that we were not aware of. The cashier and the waitress were literally arguing back in forth in front of us at the register. FINALLY, when our larger group of friends went to check out the cashier tried to make one person pay for the whole ticket( which was $400+, keep that in mind) and just split it with everyone after the fact. When they refused, the cashier made their waiter come and divide out the tickets. After different groups paid for their halves of the $400 bill, the last group comes to pay and was told they still owed $400! And made them pay that. Never once did the waiter ask in the beginning if the table was all together or separate bills or did they do the right thing and just make them pay the difference. they made our friend (whose birthday it was) pay for the whole tables check again! So she was scammed out of $200+. My suggestion, STEER CLEAR. THEY HAVE A SIGN THAT SAYS “NEW MANAGEMENT” I’m not sure who the previous management was but if you don’t want to be scammed DO NOT COME HERE. Mediocre food,...

I was excited to see a restaurant with sushi, bbq, and other asian foods close by where I was staying in Bentonville. I walked in and it was kind of empty with your typical Asian style restaurant decor. The host sat me down to a table and handed me their menu.

I was salivating as I was reading through the menu. Everything looked and sounded so good. I was soo hungry. I ordered eel roll sushi, and a bento box with smoked salmon sushi, pork and beef bulgogi. This came with Miso soup. I told the waiter that I was allergic to dairy so I didn't want any sauces that contained dairy in it. Not sure if he fully comprehended that.

I waited for about 10 minutes then my miso soup and vegetables came. The vegetables had some sweet sauce on it. It was ok. The miso soup tasted like your typical one - it's really good. I'm a huge fan of this soup. Then after another 10 minutes the main course arrived. The bento box! And the eel roll.

The eel rolls were so good. I dipped into the sauce they had. The sushi were pretty big. Not your average tiny sushi rolls that a lot of places make. The beef and pork on the other hand were really dry and had no taste.

There was this white creamy sauce inside the salmon rolls. I asked the waiter if that had dairy and he said yes. He told me the chef couldn't make it without the cream....

I was upset because he never gave me the heads up. I had to ask him about it. I told him once again that I was allergic and asked if I could get a substitute. He took it back and the chef made the salmon roll without the cream. Ok lol.

If you have any allergies make sure the mention it. Twice. Three times. Maybe four so they fully hear you.

The sushi was really good though. Everything except for that situation and their beef and pork were really good. I'll probably be back to try other items...

The seafood pancake taste weird!!! We found out the seafood in the pancake was spoiled and stinky!!!! We showed a young man with glasses and let him smelled it. He said he can take 50% off the dishes and boxed it up for us to take home? Are you serious?! Who will want to bring a spoiled seafood home that will literally make people sick?! We are not trying to get free food there. We still tip waitress good because they did great job. I just hope this man will bring spoiled seafood home and pay for half of it next time when he eat at other restaurant! And spoiled seafood will make ppl sick!!!

Update: The restaurant not only had bad food but also had bad management! He was such a liar! We didn’t finished the whole thing. I had one piece my daughter had one piece and I felt it tasted funny! So my husband gave it a try, then he found out the seafood was spoiled and smelled stinky when he took a bite as soon as it hit his mouth he spit it out. So we stopped eating the seafood food pancake right away! We DID Not almost finished the whole plate! (I wish I took the picture!) We didn’t even eat the rest of the food we ordered and just left. My husband is nice and just wanted to warn you guys the seafood was bad. So when you come back said you are going to take 50% off the dish, he didn’t say anything. But he got upset when you ask if we want to take the rest home or throw it away!!! I just Don’t think anyone should pay for a dish that’s has Spoiled Seafood in there at all! I guess that’s why someone left the review 3 Days Ago said she got Food Poisoning and vomited all night after they ate your restaurant and had to go to the hospital!
