Iβve been to the Meteor cafe since itβs opened and never experienced bad customer service until today. I was picking out a bottle of wine to share with my friends and when we finally made a decision to check out, the lady at the counter was very rude when we arrived to the counter. Without a greeting, she immediately asked for my ID, for which I provided. She then asked for my friendsβ ID, and they did not have it on them but had photos (of their ID) on their phones. They pulled up the pictures and she, again, rudely checked them and remarked, βdoes no one carry a real ID anymore?β To which my friend jokingly responds, βI promise Iβm old enough to drink!β And she says βbarely.β Such uncalled for attitude and rudeness.
Next, I ordered 2 additional chai lattes to my tab, and she asked, βare you going to get that wine?β To which I responded, βthereβs already a wine charge on my tab for wine.β So, she was about to charge me twice for two wines when I only grabbed one. Someone had previously charged another wine to that tab and she kept adding on to it. It was unprofessional and careless. After I called out her mistake, she did not apologize but proceeded to question her co- worker on who added that charge. She was still rude and did not bother to thank us after we received our chai lattes.
EDIT: the manager has reached out to apologize for this experience. I hope to return and have a...
Β Β Β Read moreI recently ordered from The Meteor Cafe, hoping to satisfy my cravings for a delicious, piping hot slice. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired.
First and foremost, the portions were extremely small. I was taken aback by how little food I received for the price I paid. It felt like a mere tease rather than a satisfying meal.
To make matters worse, the pizza itself was disappointingly cold and stale. Despite this being takeout and promptly eating it right away, the pizza lacked the freshness and warmth that one expects. It's disheartening when because I had heard such good things about this restaurant.
What frustrated me the most was the high price tag attached to this subpar meal. It's one thing to pay a premium for exceptional food, but in this case, the cost simply did not match the quality. I couldn't help but feel ripped off and dissatisfied with my overall purchase.
As a customer, I value quality and value for my hard-earned money. Regrettably, The Meteor failed to meet those expectations. I hope they take this feedback into account and work towards improving their portions, freshness, and pricing.
With that said, I cannot recommend this establishment based on my experience. If you're looking for a fulfilling pizza experience, it's best to explore other options that offer better value and...
Β Β Β Read moreUpdate: This is not the same place I originally reviewed. Been here few times in the last several months. Most of the time they are out of food and when they do have food it's way overpriced. $30 for a no frills cheese pizza? Are we serious? The pizza also seems to be cooked differently depending on the day of the week. I've received a fully burnt pizza one day and then on another, a soggy undercooked pizza. Bike shop is fine if you want to run in and grab snacks, otherwise not great. Super pretentious and annoyed folks are in there. A lot of overpriced gear for the folks who just moved into town and heard gravel is the new golf. I'm not sure what happened to the meteor as it used to be amazing. Hope they turn it around.
Love this place! They have probably the best coffee in town and the service is fantastic. Super nice people serving you super coffee. What more could you ask for? Also, the service at the bike shop is absolutely top notch. Every other bike shop had a week to two week turn around time and they hooked up my bike with a new chain, shifter cable and housing in a matter of hours. Oh and they...
