Went to this restaurant for the 1st time last night with my husband. We paid for our meals at 13.99 a piece. This was before we even entered the restaurant dining area. When we get to go look around, half the food stations have barely anything in their trays and what is there looks like it is stale and been sitting there awhile. The salad bar that was supposed to be there wasn’t even setup to serve. The food I had, was not fresh. You could tell it had been sitting there awhile. My husband loved the food he did get and had the chance to eat.
The wait staff was very unprofessional and very pushy. My husband had to tell the same waitress 2 times that he wasn’t done with a plate that she was trying to take away which still had a lot of food on it. The third time he tried to tell her she ignored him and took it anyway. He was not done with it. When we were both sitting there talking and enjoying our evening together, we were possibly going to go get some more, the waitress comes over with the little thank you tray and drops it on the table and cleans up what we had there. Didn’t even ask if we were done just cleaned away plates.
I have never felt so rushed by a wait staff as I did last night. Add into this two of the wait staff had an argument right on the floor in their native tongue. I understand that they probably don’t think anyone else will understand them, but my husband does speak the language and was able to understand every word. The two were arguing over the one’s attitude and her pushiness. It turns out it was the same waitress that was serving us.
All of this combined made for a very uncomfortable evening. If you are going to have a buffet style restaurant than you should make sure all of your trays are filled. If you advertise on your menu you have an item, it should be made available to customers or told right at the door that something is not available. If I had known that the salad bar was not available, we would have taken our money and gone somewhere else.
Overall the experience was horrible. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The only reason I gave them a 1 is because you can’t give a 0 and because my husband did like his food. Other than that, the...
Read moreI was surprised to find a open buffet in New Jersey. This place I wanted was closed so I decided to try it. A former Golden Corral. The efforts for safety are great and appreciated, but the server gave me a lot of food I don't normally eat especially in the quantity. I felt like the server was rushing to serve what she wanted. I had to ask twice for things I wanted that weren't suggested. I really would have liked Pepper Steak as I really like beef with vegetables that doesn't include brocolli. I normally get beef from the hibachi if Pepper Steak isn't on the buffet. I also really Pork Fried Rice. I had to say no to vegetable fried rice twice. I did agree to a little vegetable Lo Mein. Anything I said a little was a big serving spoonful. I go to a buffet to control the protein, carb, and vegetable ratio myself. I never get a lot of any one item. It's leaner protein with vegetables and little carbohydrates. I got a big box of slightly spicy chicken in heavy sweet syrup with some vegetables served with Pepsi beverages instead of Coca-Cola beverages. I couldn't even think of looking for beef and more vegetables after all the sweet syrupy chicken. Dessert was out of the question. The chicken was dessert. It seemed seafood people would be pleased. I felt I a got lunch special combo at Saturday dinner pricing with a total check of $17.50. The place was clean, and the Covid precautions were excellent. Maybe it will be better when things are...
Read more12/8/19 UPDATE:
Went there today and was disappointed. We anticipated the opening of this restaurant for so long:
PROS: Service is very friendly. The hosts smile as you walk in and properly greet you immediately. Servers are fast with refills and clearing tables. The restaurant looked clean.
CONS: The food is not even lukewarm. It is COLD. Please turn the food heaters up if possible. The quality is lacking. The food tastes very bland. Not suitable for those with allergies or vegans. Most buffets I've been to wont put EGG in the fried rice. Also, there was not enough options of cooked vegetables. Mixed vegetables in white sauce would be a nice addition or some eggplant as I've seen elsewhere. There was also no vegetable sushi that I saw. My partner did not enjoy his food and even had to spit some out. This is a first.🙈 The lighting is a bit too "bright" in there. Not sure if it's the hue or the lightbulb but perhaps dimmer lights would help.
I really wanted to like this place, but I'm sorry to say that this is the worst buffet I've been to. Perhaps the owners will read this and see some ways they may improve as I realize this place is still fairly new.
12/7/19 Been waiting for this place to open. Came to check out this place today with my roommate. We got a 10% off coupon in the mail. Planning to return this month to try the food. Wonderful addition...
