Another first for me. I was 50/50 based on the reviews I read online but came with an open mind and positive hopes as per usual. Thoroughly impressed with the starters! First dish, first bite; delicious. Miso soup tasted great (yes there's a difference between good and meh miso soup). The side salad was different and delicious with their mayo/ginger dressing (I'm guessing that's what it was); well done on that.
The mussels were awesome and had a serious kick, so greatly appreciated those...I could eat a dozen of those easy! The fried oysters were just as solid when they came out next. Some of the top I've had in a while anywhere; impressive! The beef negimaki on the other hand..hard pass! Dry and very unappetizing tasting and looking. I was shocked after loving everything that came out up until that point ..
The main portions: sashimi; most was good imo. Salmon bento box ..california roll was nice and fresh. Fried rice was below average compared to similar I've had in the area ..salmon was a bit overcooked from my experience and liking but the shrimp tempura was A+ quality and prep. So..a mixed bag overall but impressed with what I did like; I may be going there again for perhaps different items and consistency. Thanks for being there and surviving the pandemic...

However this location recently implemented a 30% rebate on Tuesdays. There is a large sign recently hung on the building stating this fact.
I happened to dine there on this past Tuesday (4th of July) and there was a portable sign by the front door that confirmed the 30% rebate right next to the sign that says 50% off all sushi Wednesday.
When my bill came there was no 30% rebate provided. When I asked i was told..."oh sorry..its not applicable to today because its a holiday". When I pointed out there was a portable sign right by the entrance that said there was 30% on Tuesdays I was told that is to inform customers of the program starting next Tuesday. There was no mention of starting dates on either sign.
I was told the server should have stipulated that 30% off did not apply that day. Why is it the servers responsibility when its clearly being advertised at the front door with no date?
When I left the restaurant the sign by the door was gone.
I am not one to argue...I am one to just leave and take my...

But then… he arrived.
Bryce.
Not on the menu, but undeniably the house special.
He moved through the dining room like a hibachi ninja—silent, swift, and deadly to stray utensils. One second, your table's a battlefield of soy-stained napkins and dropped chopsticks. The next? Pristine. Reset. Emotionally recharged. His hands moved with the grace of a monk and the precision of a bomb tech dismantling a rogue tempura.
You don't see Bryce coming—you feel his presence. A breeze. A shift in the air. A glass of water refilled before your thirst even registered. Napkin folded before the tear could fall. He doesn’t speak unless necessary. When he does, his words hit like perfectly placed ginger dressing: unexpected, cool, and just a little zesty.
Did he bus our table or our hearts? Unclear. But we left knowing that somewhere out there, Bryce is still resetting tables…...
