Tullia's Resturaunt — Restaurant in Berlin Township

Incredibly disappointed with our experience here. Our attempts to speak with management were met with excuses and an argumentative attitude. While we understand we came on Mother's Day, the entire restaurant was at a third of their total capacity due to Covid. I do not think it appropriate to cite this holiday as the reason for the lack of oversight and poor service we experienced. When we asked our waitress if we can speak with a manager we were told, "I am the manager." This is concerning. I have NEVER experienced someone in management who felt it appropriate to ARGUE with their clients when we simply asked for more communication as to what was going on with our meals - which took a little under TWO hours to arrive. We were very understanding until the end, when management's handling of the situation only served to escalate the situation. Not interested in excuses or blame. We ordered & my husband returned claiming the owner raves about his gluten free pizza & how nice he was, so I was excited to try. It was extremely bland. My husband loves their chicken parm so we gave it another shot. I asked the hostess to check for gluten free dough- they had it! I arrived 10 mins after it was placed and after 5 minutes was assured it would take longer “due to the gluten free pizza”. 5 minutes later sitting in my car (now 20 minutes after order placed) the owner abruptly tells me there no gluten free dough and I’m being refunded- and WALKED AWAY. Even the hostess asked him if I wanted anything else to which he said- “No just give her a refund”. Then he was loudly bragging how many gluten free pizzas he sells as if I should be… impressed? I can’t say enough good things about Tullia’s! I can say that I have never been dissatisfied with anything I have ordered there and I think every time I go I order something different, lol. The staff is always so friendly and we love Enza’s stories and attention. Their appetizers and soups are enough to stop and enjoy but you can’t not get an entree too! My favorite soup would have to be the cream of mushroom with roasted peppers and my favorite appetizer is the calamari with hot peppers. I can’t decide on a favorite entree because as I’ve already said, I get a different one every time I go! Don’t get me started on the desserts!!
