I went here a few days ago through the drive thru before heading to work. I ordered coffee with cream and sugar and a breakfast sandwich. When I pulled up to the window, the employee was preparing my coffee. Right next to my coffee was a container of HOOD brand half and half. Since I had already paid I accepted the coffee and sandwich. When the employee handed me the coffee, they handed it to me with the sugar packets on the side. I did get my sandwich and drove off disappointed.
My first issue is the brand of milk they used. Being that it's a Farmers Cow Calfe, you would expect them to use Farmers Cow local products.
My second issue is I see went through drive thru for a reason. The sugar packets on the side is not acceptable. I can't put sugar packets in my coffee and drive at the same time. The point of drive thru is the meal is already fully prepared.
My last issue is the sandwich. While not terrible, it certainly isn't the farm fresh that it's advertised to be. The ingredients taste as if they're frozen and I'd bet dollars to donuts that the eggs aren't local either given they don't even use they're own brand milk products.
I can get a better coffee and sandwich at Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. While the food is likely frozen, it's more flavorful and the sugar comes already stirred in the coffee. What a disappointing experience. I do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAwesome! 2 minutes off Rt. 9 on 372 (Farmington Ave) it is so worth the slight jog off the highway. Farm-to-table eating using local ingredients. Breakfast sammies, Lunch soups, salads, sammies and wraps, grilled cheese and Mac and cheese to die for! Locally roasted coffee, fresh brewed tea that was excellent (I love good iced tea) frozen drinks, slushies and Ice cream!! Grandchild had Mac and cheese 'kids meal' which came with banana or apple and fresh milk (chocolate, strawberry, plain) and she loved it! I didn't even get a taste! The pig and the fig sandwich (ham, spinach, goat cheese and fig preserve on ciabatta) was outstanding. A savory earthy combo with a hint of sweet from the figs. Also tried the Chicken Bacon Ranch Spicy Countryside Crisp. (Air-fried white meat chicken tender w/chipotle aioli and tomato on ciabatta). Also outstanding. Milkshakes, A banana peanut butter with chocolate chips called Monkey Bones and a fudge brownie shake were full of flavor, thick and rich. There are 12 flavors of ice cream to have in a cone, cup, a take-home pint or in a shake or float. Good amount of seating. a drive-up window and catering make this place a must have in your phone contacts. I am so excited to be able to frequent this establishment!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time trying Farmerās Cow. We had the Bacon Chicken sandwich and the Pig and Fig. My friend, who is the least picky person, was disappointed with both sandwiches and the prices. I liked the chicken sandwich, but the Pig and Fig was not worth the money. The ham looked liked 2 slices of regular deli meat and any flavor it might have was overpowered by the bread and fig preserves.
Depending on your perspective you might expect some kind of side included in the price, but there isnāt any. Drinks are overpriced. It was $2.49 for a small lemonade. You get enough, but still seems overpriced.
Disappointing that they have a tip screen. This place is set up like a fast food restaurant (former Arbyās) and I didnāt see anyone doing any type of service that warranted a tip. I didnāt see anyone come out from behind the counter. We tipped because we thought maybe they would bring our food to us or something, but no. They just call out your name. It felt like a rip off, especially since the tip screens suggests up to a 25% tip!
We liked that there wasnāt any loud music. There was ample seating. The bathrooms were freezing.
Rewards program seems generous, but I donāt know enough yet.
I would come back, but maybe for just a sandwich and not the...
