Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Bernalillo

Ordered a 16 piece meal with 3 sides and waited a very long time for my order... Understandable with the amount of people ordering. When I received my order I took it home to sit down for a dinner with my family but to my dismay, I had only recieved half my order. I got 8 pieces of chicken when I ordered 16. I tried calling the restaurant but none of my phone calls was answered. After a few minutes of debating with my family about the order I decided to go back to the restaurant which is about 10 miles from my home and tried to ask for the rest of my order. After talking with one of the employees I was told that my intentions were to get a free meal... At which point I decided to just ask for my money back.i did not like being told that I was trying to cheat a huge corporation out of a few measley pieces of mediocre chicken at best. The employees who sold my the order were very rude and so was the shift manager. After a bit the manager apologized and said she would refund me my money if I came back the next day. I went back to get my refund the following day and was told that I could not get my money back. The Church's location in Bernalillo is notorious for getting take out orders wrong on a constant basis and the employees are very rude. I would think that the shift manager would present herself with a bit more decorum but her attitude was just as bad as her employees. So whoever reads this review please be cautious of this location and if you have a choice between Bernalillo location or Albuquerque go with any of the latter locations... Better yet go with Popeyes or even better go with Golden...

I'm usually pretty generous when it comes to reviews, but this place is the pits. I mean, holy crap. I have read some of the reviews, and I guess Todd had a different manager than I.

We just moved here, and the in-laws came in to help us unpack. They wanted something so we ordered online to pickup at 8:20pm. It said to pick up at 8:39pm, and it was relatively close.

Nothing big, 12 piece, then an 8 piece boneless wings with buffalo sauce, and a few sides. I arrived a minute or so before 8:39 and they didn't even start my order. Didn't even know I had placed one.

Should be easy, fried food right? No, they got everything ready relatively quickly beside the boneless wings which they started around 8:50. I know because they gave an eta of 9 more minutes. Even then, and I'm going to rant here.

I'm including a picture of my wings. I kid you not, the manager told his employee to cut the chicken tender in half with a plastic fork to make 8 boneless wings. I watched this, 7/29/25. They should post the security camera of this. Holy hell.

I asked the manager was he really going to give me cut chicken tenders with a knife and no sauce on them. Not even salt or pepper. He said it was hard, and he's busy. He apologize for the wait, but OMG. Could not believe this.

This is an embarrassment, kind've like pooping your pants. You wish it never happens, but when it does. You kind've want to die inside. That's what this place is. Do better...

Took forever in the Drive-Thru so me and my father went inside. At a very nice cashier take our order, took at least 20 minutes to get out of there. The same vehicle that was in front of us in the Drive-Thruwe could see outside the window in the drive through the whole time we were there. And they shorted us the two-family sides that I paid over $8 for. Then when we asked for the little boats to use as eating trays she told us she was not allowed to give them out, once we got home and noticed we did not get our two family sides, I tried to call did my dad tried to call then I tried to call we both took turns trying to call for about 2 hours every 15 minutes, never got an answer so I tried to call back the next day about for times and never got an answer. No answering machine to leave a message. Used to be a very nice churches not too many years ago when they just built it, however it must be under really poor management at the time I love Church's Chicken and like to eat it a couple times a month but I'll be going to the Church's Chicken on southern in Rio Rancho instead and would recommend it to others as well. I am not the type of person to take the time to read write a bad review this long unless they really...
