9 Nov 2023 - We went through the drive-thru at this location just before 1700 yesterday evening. We'd never eaten at this restaurant chain at any location, so it was new to us.
I'll address first, the good things. There were so many choices on the menu, and it was easy to understand what was included in each item or combination plate. The lady at the window provided excellent service, and was friendly and polite. My significant other ordered a carne asada burrito, and said it was good. The drinks we ordered were also good.
My food, however... it was not good, not even slightly. It was almost as bad as Taco Cabana, which is total garbage. I ordered the burrito and taco combination plate, both with chicken; the rice and beans were flavorless (I added the green sauce provided to make them more edible), and the chicken in my taco and burrito tasted terrible. I think it's safe to say the meat was actually chicken, and fully cooked, but the flavor was not pleasant. I ate the taco because it had more to cover the taste of the chicken, but the burrito only had cheese with the chicken and therefore ended up in the trash after only a few bites. I HATE wasting food, but was it really food?
A friend told me what she typically orders here, none of which included chicken, so between her choices and the fact that my significant other liked his burrito, I MIGHT give this place another chance... but it will be a very long while before that happens, IF it does.
Stay far, far away from the chicken.
Two stars for the service and drinks. Expensive for such low quality (see receipt photo).
P.S.: I forgot to mention my upset stomach when I woke up this morning. I ate nothing else but the rice, beans, taco, and few bites of the burrito last night... so I'm quite sure that's what caused it....

SADLY I MUST REPORT THAT MY EXPERIENCE WAS "HORRIBLE" AT BEST --- THE QUALITY CERTAINLY HAS DROPPED LIKE A ROCK FALLING DOWN THE SIDE OF THE SANDIA MOUNTAINS!
My wife and I ordered the same items: TWO ORDERS OF BEEF TACOS -- ASKED FOR "SOFT TACO" NOT "CRUNCHY". TWO ORDERS OF CHILI RELLENOS ON THE "DINNER". YES - a LOT OF FOOD BUT IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY AND IF A OLD GEEZER WANTS TO SPLURGE ON HIS 80TH BIRTHDAY ...... "WHY NOT GO FOR IT?"
NONE - absolutely NONE OF THE ITEMS WERE PROPERLY PREPARED! WE THREW AWAY 80% OF THE FOOD. RE-FRIED BEANS WERE "HARD" (CANNED ITEMS NO DOUBT)....... THE RELLENOS WERE "SOGGY" AND APPEARED TO BE "STUFFED WITH CHOPPED UP ONIONS! GROSS! THE BREADING (OR WHATEVER IT WOULD BE CALLED WAS "SOGGY AND TASTELESS! THE "SOFT TACO"? GREASY - GREASY - GREASY AND IT TASTED OF OLD GREASE USED TO HEAT THE "SHELL"! THE OVERALL TASTE WAS AS IF COOKING OIL / LARD WAS USED TO KEEP THE APPEARANCE CLOSE TO "NORMAL" (A MASSIVE "FAIL!).
In the past we LOVED THE FOOD FROM FILIBERTO'S ----- THIS VISIT HAS DONE ONE IMPORTANT THING; it guarantees we shall NEVER DINE AT THIS LOUSY PLACE AGAIN! YOU SHOULD BEWARE OR YOU WILL BE AS DISAPPOINTED AND WE WERE ON SUNDAY -...
Read moreThis review is for the menudo on 29JUN19. I love menudo, all types and fragrances, and my previous favorite was from El Sabor de Juarez. Luckily El Sabor serves it everyday, so I can get it whenever I want and they are very close. Our local Filiberto's shut down a couple years ago, so we have to travel to enjoy their delicious burritos, but their menudo is only available on the weekends.
I brought this menudo home and didn't get to it hot since the large burrito I ate first. Into the fridge it went, for dinner tonight.
It was solidified cold! I cook a lot, and this meant a lot to me as I knew there was going to be a lot of flavor in it. But after reheating, it was a perfect consistency. Adding the ground red chile, Mexican oregano, and onion/cilantro mix made it perfect (limes were provided, but I don't like my menudo too acidic).
Perfect! I can't wait until the next weekend I drive by...
