Milo's Hamburgers — Restaurant in Bessemer

The service at this location was great and the cashier was very nice. The dining area is open to eat in. The cashier was also nice enough to let me know I could get a refill by asking. Unfortunately the quality of the food was lacking. The taste of my burger and fries were far off from the common Milo's. My wife and I agree the Milo's sauce tasted different than normal and wasn't good. This gave my burger an unpleasant taste that kept me from being able to finish it. The fries were different as well, lacking the usual orange cheese powder and flavor. The only familiar taste came from their tea and pie. The sweet tea had their usual taste. While the peach pie that came with my mega meal was decent like previous pies. I've found consistency to be an issue at every Milo's I've visited though. It's always a hit-or-miss at every location. We waited in the drive thru for order placed due to their Lobby being closed ( Covid-19) and had a lady walk up approach the window and demand to place an order. She was denied such but returned and cut in line again and the manager on duty Krystal allowed her to order from the window ( she said company policy permitted such). This breached safety in many ways, she could have been run over by a car , reached in and grabbed the register robbing the place and no social distancing implemented. I could not eat the food I paid for as I have concerns of proper sanitizing since I didn't see anyone change gloves and the bag my food was served in had some liquid running onto the outside( Krystal said it was fry salt and never changed the bag out). I love Milo's. I moved and there are no restaurants for 300 miles. When I visit the Birmingham area I always stop by here as I'm leaving. I want sauce on my cheeseburgers. That's one of the most important, if not the biggest, part of why I get Milo's before I leave. 100 miles down the road out of traffic, I reach in, and all 3 have no sauce. I spent over $35 for the combo meals. The lady making the burgers was cool except they forgot the sauce. The staple of a cheeseburger from Milo's is the sauce. The food was ok, considering no sauce.
