This was the worst fast food experience of my life and I'm middle aged and overweight. That should say something to the quantity of fast food experiences I've had. I placed a mobile order at 9:16pm, ap said to be there at 9:31. We pulled through drive through 5 minutes early, the child at the speaker said "hold on". We waited. She comes back and says, "pull around". We did. We pull ahead she asks for our order and we state we had a mobile order for Kim. She said to pull to the end of the sidewalk and someone will bring it out when it's done. We do. They don't. Finally at 9:51 (25 mins after arrival and 9 minutes before close) we pop the cad in reverse and head back to the window. She said "What's the name again?" We tell her, she walks awayn comes back with our $17.31 order from the counter and says "Oh it's been right here, just no one wanted to bring it out to you cause we been cleanin' and stuff." I look at my dear husband who's been driving for 6 hours through snow and ice and apologized. As I'm digging through a bag of COLD food, he demands a manager and the little girl working has the AUDACITY to ask us to pull up to the end of the sidewalk to wait for him as he's busy talking to someone in the back. Hell.to.the.no. He says that we'll wait right here. Someone else approaches the window (at this point you'd think it would be a manager right?!) and she asks what we need. (Nope, not a manager). We said we need a manager. She said he was busy getting ready to close so he wasn't available. We said that was fine, we weren't in a hurry, considering our food was already cold and we'd already waited 40 minutes. She slams the window. Fast forward about a minute and the sweetest and most professional fella that was doing the best he could with the pile of trash he has to work with came to the window. We explained briefly about our experiences with his staff. How honestly, the wait sucked, but the customer service was exceedingly the worst part and how the girls were laughing as they were telling us that no one wanted to bring it out to us. He explained that he's been on the job in this market less than two weeks and turning brands around is a slow and steady job. In the end, he did what he had to to make it right, kindly, professionally and to the best of his abilities. Kudos to you my man but I wish I could witness the firing of both of those girls. Unfortunately I live 6 hours from here and won't be returning to Zaxby's on our next trip through.
Sidenote: I worked 5 years in fastfood as a closer. I get the late-night orders and it's a bummer everytime that buzzer goes off. This is right off the highway and we were leaving 10 minutes before close and there were multiple cars still pulling in. They're used to this. Oh, and had the order went out at 9:16 when it was ordered, they'd have had plenty of time...
Read moreWhen I first entered the store, there were 3 people in (what looked like the line to order) front of me; one lady said had said that she had came through the drive through twice already, now into store making 3rd confrontation on the matter, but that her food WAS STILL COLD & that the employees were super disrespectful by a number of things. Next man in line, wrong order/order not right/something like that, & that they had charged him also for several things that he didn’t get nor even ask for. Still I attempted to give the benefit of the doubt & brush it off as a mixture of maybe people who never really personally worked in fast food, maybe employees had an extremely rough day already, etc…. Then when I went to order the cashier was not only still making disrespectful faces at the customers with complaints before me, but was still trying to argue with them as they’re trying to leave also! Almost nothing was stocked (NO napkins, straws, cup lids, etc.), drink machine is DISGUSTINGGGGG, spitting black old soda out each time, food was barely warm, as well as the store & bathrooms being nasty as...
Read moreWhen you go in I give this place 5 stars! I’m giving it one star because everytime I go through the drive-through the girls are so rude. And they act like they hate there jobs! Today I went and the girl name was Calmeisha. She got upset with me over me asking politely for a straw. She did give me one but it was opened and had dirt on it! I was not sticking that In my drink. She was breathing hard huffying and puffying like it wasn’t her job. Yesterday I went and the girl working after everything I asked for are you done yet. Is that it! Like when I’m done placing my order I will let you know. Now the manager is really sweet but she needs to start hiring People who are good with people and customers. These girls who work in the drive through are rude and need some more training. I will be calling corporate and the manager about these problems. I don’t know why people in fast food work there if they hate their job. Do something else with your life that is not customer service...
