A Truly Special Baby Shower at Michael’s Tap Room

We recently hosted a baby shower at Michael’s Tap Room for my son and daughter-in-law, and I can’t say enough about how wonderful the experience was. From the very beginning, Jennie, the event planner, was an absolute dream to work with. She helped us bring our “A Baby is Brewing” theme to life with care, creativity, and warmth. Jennie was incredibly responsive during the planning process and, on the day of the event, was right there alongside her amazing team making sure everything ran smoothly.

The staff went above and beyond—setting the room with elegant white linens and soft baby blue napkins that matched our theme perfectly. They even helped us with our own decorations, which made the space feel personal and welcoming. Although our event was in the middle of the restaurant, they thoughtfully created a private and cozy atmosphere using wall separators, and we also had access to the patio, which was a beautiful bonus.

Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely incredible. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how good everything was. It’s clear the kitchen takes pride in what they serve, and it showed in every bite.

I have passed this place so many times and did not realize it was there. I've heard a few people talking about it recently. We wanted to check it out. Plenty of parking with entrances in the front and back. Lots of seating in multiple areas, including a nice bar area. Multiple tvs available for sporting events. Very clean inside with a friendly staff. Mollie was our waitress. Very attentive and frequently checked on us. There is happy hour Monday through Friday from 3-6. The food is great. We tried a few apps. The wings were very good. We got sweet chili and garlic parmesan. Both had lots of great flavor. Pretzel bites were good, but the jalapeño cheddar sauce was ridiculously awesome. I would describe it as liquid happiness. We used the leftover on the fries. This review would have been a four star. However, the Rodeo Burger was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. First of all, it’s huge! The burger was cooked perfect and topped with delicious onion rings and bbq sauce. Tried this place once & once was enough. My husband & I spent the night in this town as we are traveling and this was close by so we decided to give this place a try since it had a 4.4 Google rating which I am very unsure how. The pizza was so soaked with grease, and it was so under cooked and doughy that you couldn't pick up a slllice without it falling apart. The garlic wings which I was told were good were also very dissatisfying. The we're very dried out, had absolutely NO butter sauce on them like described by waitress and they tasted like old wings. I had to ask for a different sauce to dip them into and even that garlic parm sauce was horrible and had no flavor at all. We ended up eating most all of the food because after driving 7 hours without stopping to eat we were very hungry. The waitress was very kind and patient and tried to apologize multiple times, but it was not her fault. However, someone needs to teach the cook the right way to cook or get a new one altogether. Food was also way overpriced in my opinion. Definitely do not recommend this...
