Decided to try this new bagel shop on my way home from work and unfortunately my expectations were not met. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese, a hash brown & and iced coffee for a total of $14 with tip. The iced coffee was self serve with 4 syrup options and only milk and half and half. As someone with a lactose intolerance, I would’ve appreciated the option of oat milk or almond milk, even if for an extra charge. Overall, the coffee was subpar. I only waited about 10 minutes and there were 3-4 people ahead of me. Once I got my food, I was disappointed. The hash brown was very thin, flimsy and seemed to be barely cooked. The bagel sandwich had a very thin egg, which is extremely disappointing considering I paid over $7 for the sandwich and a large part of that cost is to account for I’m sure the eggs. I would’ve just appreciated more substance for the price paid. Other than that, the bacon was good and the bagel was okay. Again, it was rather thin and didn’t remind me at all of the bagels I’ve had in NYC. I’m glad I tried this place but don’t think I will be returning considering the prices for subpar...
Read moreJust picked up 2 breakfast bagel sandwiches, and there was very little that was right about them. The crispy hashbrown and everything bagels I paid extra for, came as both plain bagels. There was a noticeable lack of smokehouse brisket, and zero eggs. I paid extra for cheddar... barely any on the sandwich. Added mayo for extra $... wasn't on it. And these sandwiches cost a whopping $10 EACH! Don't think I've ever been more disappointed in an order before. This was my first and last order here. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to 3 Men And A Bagel instead.
8/11/2025: Edit: After my review, I was called and given a refund, and told that my order was mixed up with someone else's. As promised, I tried them again today and the sandwiches were much better and accurate this time. I can't really say I felt it was worth $10, but the bagel was soft and it tasted good. The meat was a little dry like before, so I wouldn't order it again, but they redeemed themselves with good...
Read moreBefore visiting Manhattan Bagel, I saw a review mentioning long wait times and poor quality. I decided to give it a try anyway. Unfortunately, my experience was even worse than expected.
After placing my order, we waited 30 minutes before anyone acknowledged that something was wrong. Only then did they apologize and admit my order had never been made. They did comp the meal, which I appreciated, but when we opened the food, my breakfast sandwich was made incorrectly, missing the chive cream cheese, and was very light on ingredients overall. It just doesn’t stack up to the other bagel spots locally.
To make matters worse, the fruit cup I got for my kids had mold in it. (Which we discovered after my kids already ate some of it) At that point, any chance of salvaging the visit was gone.
Overall, this was a terrible experience from start to finish. Even though the staff did try to make it right by not charging me, the mistakes, poor quality, and food safety issue were...
