I woke up to bites on my body after the first night there. Calmly, I went to front desk & spoke to Adora the manager telling her I thought I had bed bugs so they moved me to another room & gave me change to wash my clothes. I truly appreciated this as i felt really disgusted & uncomfortable with what had happened. I was moved & I was able to wash my clothes, that’s it - I was a happy camper. If left at this, my review would’ve been better but it’s what followes that I viewed as unprofessional. They called Orkin to inspect the room. Orkin apparently didn’t find anything so the manager called me down to the front desk to show me they didn’t find anything. Why would you do that? As if it were a feud. Something bit me in that room & when removing the sheets- it had blood stains. Mind you, I showed her my bites. I also have pictures of the blood stains on the bed. She continued to cut me off & tell me “the bugs aren’t there - now the stains that’s all housekeeping”. Regardless, the mattress I sleep on shouldn’t have bed bug residue.
Don’t interrupt your customer to make an invalid point. Also, leave your customer feeling heard. I wasn’t rude nor boisterous like many others. I was professional and quiet about it so appreciate that I didn’t blow things out of proportion like so many others would have. Orkin says there weren’t any bed bugs - okay well I woke up with 3 bites & my sheets were blood stained. Explain that to me please. They made me out to be a liar (thank you Adora) when I have facts to substantiate my claims. Things should’ve been left at you giving me money to wash my clothes & the new room. That’s all I wanted & I was more than satisfied
To make matters worse, during checkout staff was out back smoking. They watched me as I stayed in line at the front desk waiting. I waited on them to finish their smoke for something that took less than a minute. I thought that was very unprofessional as well. I work customer service & I would’ve never had my guest...
Read moreStayed at this hotel before in transition time in my life and no issues with my studio. Needed to come back as other location in Somerset NJ was beyond awful. Front desk this time here put me in room with all brand new furnishings on the first floor in the back. The studio was beautiful but there was a major problem. I was put in a room that had ROACHES and was told by that front desk person to go to Weis and buy spray and also put cinnamon around the room This was totally unacceptable and I got moved the following morning to a room on upper floor with no issues. for the rest of my stay. I want my refund for the first night as it was awful and still need that put back in my account!!!!!!. I also see that on September 1 someone else put a review saying ROACHES too. WTH is not the board of health coming in to STOP the issue or are these rooms still being rented knowing perfectly well what is inside these rooms when giving to new guests? Sorry but I need my money back for the first night and was severely traumatized for what happened in that room on the first floor. Word of advice. Know u r a business and all but renting out rooms knowing this problem hasn't been fixed YOU should not put guests in these rooms until these problems are rectified immediately and again I want my money back for the first night with being severely traumatized sharing what could have been a great stay with brand new furnishings but sharing the studio with ROACHES and being told to buy bug spray and cinnamon at a local Weis at night time. Sorry but I can't give a perfect review on the first room at all and I am not going to lie!!!! Second room ok on2nd floor but guy next to me put up white gate across hall to let his cats run around hall way to get their exercise these r true accounts of extended stay in Allentown...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel for 3 months, my room was entered by staff on numerous occasions, I had a second car that was almost stolen by staff that was looking for a key to it because I would not sell the car. I had 2 cameras hidden. They gave an electronic door key to some guy who though I was not there because I moved my truck to another location and waited inside the room. I left a do not disturb sign on the door when this guy knocked, i answered he left in a hurry, when I watched him leave; he left with one of the weekend cleaning ladies. She gave him her key to my room to search again. She came the very next week, she knocked, I opened the door immediately, she jumped 5 feet. She was very nervous because she knew I knew. At least 5 other employees knew about the scheme to. This is a crime waiting to happen; extended is not responsible for what happens in that room to anything of yours per their policy, since they proved an adequate lock they say. Their own staff has access to any door at any time without approval. A desk guy can make any key without it being tracked, Logged or anything. This means anyone can have your electronic key made by a staff member! Here is the loop hole, and then extended does not offer a locking safe for your belongings. Only the door lock, that any employee can have or give to anyone one at any time. How safe is that at extended stay Bethlehem for 1200 a month. Then there are no cameras to monitor any of the exits the vehicles or anything anywhere. No safety for the customer. Thanks for the great stay...
