Today is my last clinical day, and Monday is my green light exam. Issa A Nurse Everybody! (Smile)😝 I can not express enough of my gratitude for this school. I started school at a terrible time, I was truly going through a lot. You know that saying everything that can go wrong will go wrong in Nursing school. However I still came with a smile and put the work in. Every One in this school has helped me along my journey from the President of the school down to front desk clerk no job these beautiful souls have is to small in this building. To my instructors whooo! I was a lot, the capital A can not be big enough of how Awesome each and every one of them are. No matter how many times I enter their office they were always willing to help me, go over things, test, talk me off the ledge, remind me that I had this. These beautiful souls are not just your instructor they become you number one fan, your biggest supporters, they become your therapist, you rhymes of reason when you need it, your tutors, I could have not have gotten through this with out a better team of Prudent Nurses. To my clinical instructors thank you so much you gave us the hands on to go out there and feel confident as a nurse. You made sure we had the the cases in our rotation that would give us the most experience. For the Program Director thank you, I have cried on your shoulder, I probably have interrupted lunches, and maybe a few phone calls for advice and wisdom. You never shut me down. It’s so many of you here just know I can not mention you all because then this would be a book. After completing my first semester, I realized if you have other options. Go with them. When we first applied we heard how “ghetto” this place is, and they definitely lived up to that reputation. There is CONSTANT drama that the higher ups are very well aware of, with proof of texts and pictures from students harassing other students and those students who stick up for themselves are the ones getting into trouble and suspended. Most of the staff, including the director is incredibly rude, dismissive and disrespectful. While signing papers we were told most everything was included, come first day to find out NOTHING was included. Scrubs, computer, books were all something we find out on the first day of school we needed to buy but we could tack on an extra $250 on tuition if we wanted a laptop from the school. Logo patches, we got ONE and were told of we wanted another one, we could pay $2. Only after the entire class complained did they give us another one. We were informed if we can’t afford a book for school “then we don’t belong in school” exact words by the DIRECTOR. They are very unorganized, the teachers are not on the same page as what the school wants, and that’s on the school. The teachers and the clinical instructors are on different pages. If I could give 0 starts I would. February 21, 2019 I arrived at Falcon institute in Bethlehem PA. While waiting to take my CNA Exams I was approach by Chrissy, who works at Falcon, that I need to come to her office to pay for the exam. I told her that I already talked to Pearson and that the test has been paid for. She told me to in order to continue to take my exam that I would need to pay Falcon Institute $102 dollars because Manorcare does not want to pay them for me to take my test. The people at falcon then decided to inform the Pearson instructor that I should not be allowed to take the test and asked me to leave the facility. The instructor and I both said to them that I had every right to take the exam. I was then given a false bill with no credentials and no explanation. when signing up with manor care I never signed my name on anything that was legally binding for me to work with them or that If I decided I just wanted to take the exam and go elsewhere that I could not.
