My first time trying Raìces. I loved the cappuccino, nice and strong. I started out with just a pan a bono (cheesy roll) it was so fluffy and light. Then I read the menu and had to try the tamal. Read moreVery friendly staff! We thoroughly enjoyed the arepitas con guiso and guacamole con tostones. The natural lemonade was excellent! Everything was fresh and flavorful. Unfortunately we had few options as their Colombian vegetarian options for lunch/dinner are limited. We would love to see more to try, and we will return for tastes of their bakery items.
The owner was kind and offered for something to be prepared from the brunch menu, but the appetizers ended up being quite filling so we declined the kind offer....
Read moreHopefully they will get better. Food: steak bland & tough, empanadas cold ( did not seem home made) plantains tasty, chicken looked tasty but bland even though pork was ordered. Rice was tasty and soup was ok. I did say something to a young man about the food.
Service: the waitress was nice, did not speak English so could not explain the menu, so I looked up some of the menu items online.
Atmosphere: nice looking place, love the cemented-brick walls.
