My first time trying Raìces. I loved the cappuccino, nice and strong. I started out with just a pan a bono (cheesy roll) it was so fluffy and light. Then I read the menu and had to try the tamal. Banana leaf with meats, beans and rice flour inside. The presentation was beautiful. It was like opening a present. Loved the flavor and it's loaded with meats! The bread stuffed with guava jam was also great. Jordan was very nice to tell me what everything coming out of kitchen was. So many fresh baked items coming out in the morning. Can't wait to go back!

Very friendly staff! We thoroughly enjoyed the arepitas con guiso and guacamole con tostones. The natural lemonade was excellent! Everything was fresh and flavorful. Unfortunately we had few options as their Colombian vegetarian options for lunch/dinner are limited. We would love to see more to try, and we will return for tastes of their bakery items. The owner was kind and offered for something to be prepared from the brunch menu, but the appetizers ended up being quite filling so we declined the kind offer. Lovely experience.

Had the south of the border Benedict and my friend had the Columbian Waffle. Both were delicious. The Benedict came with a side of potatoes which were cooked perfectly with onions and peppers. And for a healthy surprise, they served a little salad with it. Perfect touch. The waffle was so so good. It’s a bit rich so might want to share entrees…one sweet and o e savory. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu. Server was pleasant and knowledgeable.

Hopefully they will get better. Food: steak bland & tough, empanadas cold ( did not seem home made) plantains tasty, chicken looked tasty but bland even though pork was ordered. Rice was tasty and soup was ok. I did say something to a young man about the food.

Service: the waitress was nice, did not speak English so could not explain the menu, so I looked up some of the menu items online.

Atmosphere: nice looking place, love the cemented-brick walls.

Might try again some...
