Any issues I had with this place have been resolved. I'm happy to see that they've been hiring people from Atomic and I now vastly prefer Crave over Atomic. They have the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever eaten and highly recommend this place.

I used to love this place, but will sadly not return. Their food is amazing, but the service is humiliating. I called in an order as they're usually very busy and their website recommended I do so. I ordered a couple sandwiches and a pastry and the guy on the other end abruptly interrupted and said "we don't do that", not actually explaining what it was they don't do. When I said that webpage had ordering ahead as an option, he then said that he would "remove that ASAP". My order for the sandwiches was then placed and I, confusedly, went to pick up my food. Upon getting get there, the guy with the crew cut (not the bearded guy who has always been pleasant to work with), had his phone out, waiting for me. I got to the counter and he showed me the website, pointing to where it said sandwiches only. I said that he was so quick to say that they couldn't take an order over the phone that it wasn't clear that it was only for pastries. He kept on at me that it was all in the website, to which I said "I'm just trying to give you money and leave, are you really trying to give me a hard time? Is losing a regular over this with it?" I only got more arrogant responses and haven't...
Read moreThey open at 7 on Sundays! A lot of places aren't open then so this is a huge plus.
But the food and drinks are good too.
I had the crave sandwich - it's on some house bread that feels like a flavorful fried biscuit. So good. And the pepper jelly adds a refreshing sweet-spicy burst. I'm not a huge fan of the cheese on the crave but many folks will. It's like a thinner, softer cream cheese with herbs in it. (I forget the name, starts with a B) I just don't care for that kind of cheese and ordered without knowing what it was so I wiped it off and it was still delicious.
I had peach black tea that was so good I had to get another one on my way out.
The place is a perfect size for this type of restaurant. Lots of bar style seating and 3 tables along a squishy couch-type thingy. There were enough seats that no one had to wait for a seat around 8am on a Sunday.
Lastly, the staff was great. There were a lot of people working so food and drinks came fast. And everyone was very smiley and friendly.
I recommend it for a quick tasty breakfast and tea/coffee. I'll definitely be back!
P. S. The only thing I'm sad about is that we forgot to buy sweets on our way out. The cupcakes with giant piles of frosting...
Read moreThis is how this business handled being tagged in one of my small business photos. I am a business owner in Beverly and I usually tag other local businesses in my photos to support other businesses and draw foot traffic to all. This is how Crave handled being tagged in one of my photos. They wrote to me and then blocked me. I also saw other businesses tagging them and don’t imagine they handled it this way. Just wanted to share incase anyone else who owns a small business supports their business. Made me very sad around the Christmas season and I have no intention on supporting their business any further. I typically visit at least once a week and suggest it to all of my clients. Very very disappointed in the lack of feeling a part of the community from this shop.
Side note speaking to the customer service in general: The last time I ordered two breakfast sandwiches on croissant‘s here, when I picked them up they were on brioche and when my husband went back in they told him they ran out of croissants!, (But why wouldn’t they give me a heads up? They would just assume I would pay for something I didn’t order? I was specifically craving a croissant but...
