What can I say? This gym and the trainers have legit changed my life for the better in the last 3 + years. My fiancĆ© was going here back in 2017 and she convinced me to go do one of the ā30 Day challengesā they do a few times a year in January 2018 because I wanted to lose weight for our wedding which was in May 2018. I stepped on the scale and weighed in at 241 pounds. After the 30 day challenge was over, I weighed 220, was full of confidence and gained some new friendships. I was planning on just doing that challenge for a month and probably never going back. Here I am 3 years later, married now, and when I weighed myself this morning I weighed in at 187. Down FIFTY FOUR pounds in three years. Thatās from the age of 35-38, not old..but not young. Itās the most in shape Iāve been in since probably 10th grade. Certainly donāt remember the last time I was under 200. This gym is awesome. I never tried yoga before, now whenever I can make it to Laraās class Iām there. Never in my life would I think I would be doing yoga. I ran my first of many 5k road races. Lots of thanks to Katieās āBevtown runningā class for getting me in running shape. I played in my first ever flag football tourney with the Reck Fitness team @ Gillette Stadium. Which we won the āship thank you very much. I canāt thank Katie, Kenia and Corey enough for their guidance, friendship and motivation to better myself. They are such hard working individuals inside the gym and outside of it as well and that motivates me to push myself to my limits too. So needless to say, 5 stars, I recommend this gym to anyone, regardless if youāve never worked out in your life or if youāre a gym warrior. guarantee you have fun and get into better shape. I joined RECK in the fall of 2017 after scouring Google for a gym that had a small community feel, but that offered a great workout. I have never particularly liked working out, so I need the conveniently timed & frequent classes to get me there every day (I love bootcamp). I have multiple chronic knee and hip injuries from a few years ago, so I was nervous when I first joined. The staff was super respectful of my limitations and always offered me modifications or other options when there were things that I couldnāt (or wouldnāt) do. They are extremely knowledgable and the workouts are never the same. They gently pushed me to tackle those limitations and I even completed my first Spartan race last spring. I genuinely enjoy going to the gym every day and seeing the familiar faces there. Not to mention- Iām 20 pounds lighter and in way better shape than when I first joined. I had joined based on location but have remained a member because of the staff, the culture and the types of classes available that fit my schedule. Most classes are geared towards almost any fitness level meaning you can basically fit a bunch of people of very different abilities into one class while being able to provide a very challenging workout to everyone in attendance. I have seen a couple less favorable reviews on here and can admit that the space is a little on the smaller size but the owners and staff are very smart in how all of the equipment is placed so that they can make room for everyone in each class. I donāt recall ever feeling squeezed in during a class over the 14 months I have been a member.
