Haven’t been to the cafe in 5 or 6 years maybe longer. Nothing has changed except the ownership and the lady that owns it now is awesome. Think she said she and her husband bought it like 5 years ago. She opened the doors at 6:00 a.m. and had a great attitude for that early in the morning. I ordered the chicken fried steak like we use to have all the time back in the day. Also she talked me into one of the giant cinnamon rolls. Glad she did!
I eat chicken fried steak all over the country and this is top 3 I have ever had. Just like it used to be. The dude slinging hash in the back of the house got every bite perfect. Gravy rocked and steak, true steak not mystery meat, cooked perfect! Awesome breaky. Will be back every time I’m in town.
We need to support mom and pop cafes like this. Slowly they are disappearing thanks to mandatory higher wages and cost of goods that are getting ridiculous. So please. Go see these folks. They deserve your dinning dollar way more than any fast food or breakfast chain in Billings where they money goes out of state. Eat local and keep it local and keep the Hog Wild running for...
Read moreI have nothing but praise for this place. The food was great and reasonably price. When we were there, they had chicken fried steak for the special and it was huge and it was only $8. But what makes this special is the owners. My wife, Shannon, forgot her purse there and didn't realize until 2 hours later by which time they were closed. After a little while we were able to locate the owner. We decided to drive by his house after finding his address on line. He said they had found her purse. He then agreed to go back to the cafe and get my wife's purse. That is what I call customer service. I will recommend this cafe to everyone and will...
Read moreWhile in Billings, following a nice morning hike I was looking for breakfast, Google graciously offered up options with Hog Wild top of the list. I was a little late for breakfast so of course opted for lunch, had the PB and bacon burger with ham and bean soup, it was delicious and the nice lady who served it to me at the counter made time to visit with everyone while expertly getting food out. Next time I’m in Billings I’ll definitely return to Hog Wild and go for the ham shank! Once I saw it on a few peoples plates I knew it would be a great choice as well. If you are passing through or live in Billings, go to...
