Fat Boy Eats as a general rule doesn’t attend opening day. But given that Panda Express is pretty much the only fast food Chinese in the country let alone the, it was safe to assume that the procedure and training was already up and running.
That being said, the service was absolutely excellent. There were only two issues with the location that the Fat Boy has.
First: location. You had the opportunity to build anywhere and the lot you built on is rather large. Yet you decided to build really close to the road and as a result the drive through is a real pain to get through in a truck… which in this area is about half the vehicles on the road. The very sharp 90 turn after getting food was really difficult to deal with.. not to mention that if you’re going to be going west you have to do a u turn to go west.
Secondly: food. This goes without saying usually… but food should be hot. And this is generally why Fat Boy doesn’t go to opening day… because day two the food was appropriately temped. The only other complaint about the food is that the fried rice needs to fry a...
Read moreThis was a big surprise to my wife and I when we stopped in to pick up our dinner for the evening. The atmosphere was a bit in chaos with customers waiting at one end after they ordered food and the mess on every single table, which turned us away from eating inside! Then the food....just empty everywhere, was the first thing you noticed and that just about turned us around but we were hungry and continued on making challenging choices from what was left, even in the mostly empty bowls. I chose items I didn't really want but if it's all that's left then my options became rather sad...same for my wife! Not what was expected at a new location on King! The service was tough as three parties ahead of us waited 10 minutes to get acknowledged each, so 30 minutes of waiting just to get the order in.... Crazy rough night for this crew that seemed completely overwhelmed with drive-thru and online orders that took staff away from paying customers standing in front...
Read moreI got an order to go - chow mein and orange chicken. It looked and smelled really good, I had a long drive before I would get home and I was very hungry. But the meal was very disappointing. The noodles were dry and the orange chicken was spicy. I wish they had warned me about the spiciness and I would have gotten something else. I don't even eat pepperoni or pepper jack cheese. I like to taste my food and my taste buds are extremely sensitive. By the time I started eating, I was on my way home and didn't want to go back. I ended up remaining hungry and giving the food to my kids, who enjoy spicy food, and could add oils and whatever else to...
