Firehouse Subs King Marketplace — Restaurant in Billings

My trip to this firehouse subs location was everything that I expected it to be! I had to try it out once I knew they had opened a location here, my first experience with firehouse subs was in Jacksonville where it originated and I must say nothing is different from the two! My all time favorite is the Hook and Ladder but from time to time I like the "hero" sub as well. Also the cheddar brisket and the engineer are also great! Ingredients were fresh and the meat tastes awesome! I am hoping that once this pandemic is behind us they will continue on with the tradition of having the mini souffle cups at the end of the counter with a assortment of hot sauces listed with the scoville stickers ranging from 1-10 like they had in Jacksonville for customers to take with them. I will definitely be back and highly recommend you try firehouse subs! I went around noon and they had a fairly busy lunch crowd and appeared to be well staffed and they hustled and were putting out orders left and right. Overall great job guys keep up the great work and delicious...

I really want to to say something good.............the smell in the place was divine and the young man taking our order was very helpful and thorough.

Okay, now on to the food. My personal review: The bread was soft, rubbery, had no taste. The Medium was SMALL. The meat was like Arby's and there was so little of it on this sandwich. One of the meats was very fatty...either the corned beef or the pastrami....I could not tell as they both tasted the same; like they came from the same supplier as Arby's. The amount of mustard on my sandwich was a pitiful, small line on just side of the bread.

All of this for a high price that was NOT worth it. So much better at Jimmy John's...and my personal favorite: Jersey Mike's.

I guess that's why all sub shops are different, as everyone has different tastes and expectations. Two of my friends LOVE your sub shop. Which is why...

We were looking forward to trying this place. We ordered, I waited and they pushed out a bagged order. I stood up and asked if it was mine and was told yes. Got home and it wasn’t. My wife had to go to work and we couldn’t go back down there. The “manager” I spoke with on the phone told me it was my problem, not hers. So we got $12 worth of food which we threw out for $35. I even tipped them. We’ll never go back . You know what they say - treat people right and they’ll tell 20 people. Treat them like this and they’ll tell 200. I’ve already shared my opinion with at least that many people. Really lousy service
