Perkins American Food Co. — Restaurant in Billings

Waited for an extremely long time to be seated or even acknowledged (approx 22 min) service was fine, but wait time on food was ridiculously long (40 min). When food finally arrived there was no chicken on the "chicken Alfredo pasta"...Then, because strawberries were in season I asked for a Strawberry pie to be boxed up to go...I was then told it would be ANOTHER 10-15 minutes bc they didn't have any ready...at 1130 in the morning?? Seriously?? Then to top it all off, as I was trying to pay my bill, I mentioned to the assistant manager the long wait times and she went off on me and humiliated me by NOT allowing me to pay my bill...she was very snide and loud and many people were staring at my son and I while she ranted about how busy she was and she couldn't be expected to "be able to do everything" I tried 3 times to give my payment and she refused to take it. I will NEVER again return to this restaurant which is so sad because when I worked my way through college I worked at Perkins as a waitress...all my good memories as one of my first jobs have been tainted by the hateful manager...

Update 4/9/19: Perhaps Perkins is tightening up their belt as no rice meant no extra vegetables as well. This evening's entree was somewhat anemic and completely unfulfilling compared to the numerous other times I have ordered the hibachi shrimp. Adding photo of what I recently received as opposed to what has previously always been served. Expressed my disappointment as I paid and the manager (who happened to be manning the register) apologized, and to their credit, kindly removed it from the bill.

Previous review: Perkins is a staple for our family. Each Perkins, although their menus are the same, are not themselves the same. This Perkins has good management and typically has good service as a result. There are multiple selections for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and as such there is something for each member of our large family. They readily accommodate a desire to eat low carb by substituting vegetables for the bed of fried rice in their hibachi shrimp dish. I heard a lot about this place and they're not good. I'm not here to say anything bad, make stuff up, or trying not to tell you not to visit Perkins. I heard from three people I know got 🤢food poisoning🤢 and they will not be visiting anytime soon. Today I visit Perkins to see how it was. I had blueberry pancakes platter with scrambled eggs with bacon. The blueberry pancakes were still dough and the middle pancake was overcooked almost burnt; Idk how that's possible. The blueberry's were sour to the point I picked them off and just ate the pancakes. I didn't bother eating the scrambled eggs bc it was cold and burnt. Lasty the bacon was cold and greasy. The service was alright no attitude. The atmosphere was dead and dry like it was the cemetery 🪦. Overall I really didn't like this place. I was waiting for Gordon Ramsay to come out and say everyone needs to leave bc the kitchen was not up to code as in sanitary. Overall I'm just paranoid about what I heard from people.
