Guadalajara King Ave — Restaurant in Billings

We went to this for dinner last night thinking the new restaurant would be amazing, it looked beautiful and we thought it’d be a nice sit down dinner(which we don’t get often together as my significant other works on the rigs and i work in the hospital). To say this was the worst experience I’ve had would be an understatement. We were sat down and given the menus after a bit of waiting, which was okay. Then we were not even asked if we wanted drinks for about 15-20 minutes. We finally got those drinks after ten minutes of ordering them. Then when we got them we tried to order our dinner. The server we had could barely understand the menu let alone help us when it came to asking if we could have a basic quesadilla and two tacos. I had also asked for a side salad. Then after awhile the food came out. It looked horrendous. My side salad made was browning shredded lettuce, and a few tomatoes dices. I did not eat it, because I didn’t want to get sick from rotten lettuce. Then another waiter came by and picked up my significant others plate after he had already started eating, and proceeded to take it to another table stating “sorry that food it not your order”, mind you we had already picked it up and began eating. Side note, I have a form of diabetes, and so I specifically ordered a diet pepsi for this reason. Mid meal, my whole body started shaking and I knew then that the “diet pepsi” I had drank was regular and my body was going into shock. My significant other finally waved our waiter down and said “she’s not okay and we need to leave. did you give her regular pepsi”, which the waiter said “umm no I don’t think so, well i’m not sure, I think it was diet”. considering my body was in shock, it was not. and the waiter basically just brought us the check and waited for our payment(of $50, though the salad was rotten and the food was taken from us and then we were given someone else’s food). To say this was the worst experience at an establishment like this is an understatement at best. Food: steak fajitas (+shrimp) & carne assada burrito just ok. Bland (good seasoning just not nearly enough of it). The burrito was on a very hot plate which might be what warmed the outside of it, lukewarm/cold in the center. Salsa actually had some kick & tortillas were light and crisp. Queso was ok, they add onion & tomatoes… needed jalapeños! Drinks: Margaritas on the rocks… first attempt was so incredibly sweet with no tequila bite! Tasted like sugar water, sent it back. Second attempt was better, but still extremely sweet and not mixed well. Tequila separated in less than 5 minuets. Service: Was just enough to not be bad service. Atmosphere: Deco was nice. Floor was a disaster, food & trash everywhere! Very live space with music making holding a conversation difficult-impossible. Overall: Definitely not worth the $$. Won’t be back. Had hoped to find a new favorite...

As someone who has been in management at multiple local establishments, I would be absolutely horrified if my team acted the way I witnessed this team act this evening. From being on cellphones on the floor, to drinking Starbucks and redbulls at a dining table, and everything in between. Filthy floors, filthy tables, horrid wait times, no paper towels in bathroom, broken toilet, and employees sitting around talking at another table while also waiting tables, this place is a dive. I have been a Guadalajara customer for years and this could be the end of my support for this establishment. This team made this company look like complete fools. I can only hope the owners see this and take the right steps in ensuring this gets resolved. I am embarrassed for...
