Hostess demonstrated good customer service, greeting and seating us in a relatively timely manner. Server introduced himself and was generally polite until some of the food we received was not what we ordered. I set the dish aside without tasting it and when he returned I pointed out the error. He essentially said they have different chefs who work there so we get what we get. I asked if that means they don't follow the same recipe and he snapped back, "what do you want me to do?" I told him I'd just like the food I ordered and if they 86'd any of the ingredients needed to make it, I don't need a replacement dish. He did not go to the kitchen, he went behind the bar, turned his back and began talking with the bartender who then took a look over at our table. The lobster was chewy, ribbon cut, andunseasonably, the steak was flavorful, though not cooked to order, and the noodles were oily and flavorless. Server avoided our table until I finally waved and asked for a bill. We ate our bites of overcooked steak, paid the bill that included the dish I never received, and left the full plates on the table because while we planned to leave the leftovers out in case anyone on the street wanted to pick them up & make the most of them, the server went back to avoiding us and we gave up on waiting. Admittedly, we decided to try the place because it was the only restaurant in the area without a line. Next time I will heed that big red flag. It was not worth the $100+ spent. Javon, please do better, and don't be fooled by the fat tip we left you - your service was lacking, but as someone who's served in the past, I know it's not your fault if a chef goes off the rails, but your customer...
Read moreAnyone that thinks Asian sea grill is a good place you’re completely wrong. Their food is good to eat but do any of you realize how it’s prepared? Where it sits? How bad their back room and kitchen is? I have eaten here before until I became a delivery driver I deliver there every week and there employees in the kitchen are rude it’s so disgusting it should be shut down it’s the worst kitchen I have ever seen. I walk back there all your food is cut up and thrown on the ground in plastic containers where every is walking by. There is no cleanliness to that place on that back at all. There noodles and everything they make just sits in sinks until it’s prepared you think your getting a good sushi meal? Not at all your lucky your not sick and you have no idea what is in that food since it’s all staged on the floors through there prep. By far the worst kitchen I have ever seen. If customers saw what they do back there you’d never eat there again. If you want a healthy clean restaurant eat somewhere else it makes me sick how these people think prepping food is okay. On floors? Are you kidding me? OSHA or a health inspector needs to go in there. Stay away from this place unless you like grounded prepped who knows what’s in your food. Terrible place. I’ve ordered from there but since I’m a driver that delivers there I’m giving anyone the truth if they care to listen. Worst nasty disgusting dirty worst working environment I have ever seen. You want a floor prepped...
Read moreWe had reservations for dinner at Asian Sea Grill on Wednesday, September 3 at 6 PM, seated on the hibachi side. Unfortunately, our experience began on a sour note due to our initial server, Leo. Despite the restaurant not being busy, Leo approached our table with a rushed and abrupt demeanor. He didn’t offer to take our drink order and interrupted a conversation with my friend, asking about a menu item… Simply because he didn’t know the answer I was trying to assist her. When I inquired about the scallops, whether they were large or small, Leo seemed uninformed and very dismissive. I tried to move past the awkwardness and said that I would Yes like to order the filet and shrimp instead, but Leo abruptly stopped taking our order and said he would get someone else to assist us. Thankfully, the waitress replaced him was wonderful – knowledgeable, professional, had a smile on her face and seemed to be enjoying her job. She even offered a complementary appetizer to make up for Leo’s behavior, which was a much appreciated gesture. As a former GM of the Rib & Chop House, I understand the importance of hospitality and making guests feel welcome. While the food and ambience at Asian Sea Grill have potential the initial service left a lasting impression. The only reason I didn’t give this zero stars is because we generally love coming to Asian Sea Grill, and have always had great experiences...
