The pictures do not do this place justice!! We went here for the first time last night kind of as a last minute idea… YALL! I’ve heard people say food can be a culinary experience but have never really experienced it myself until last night!!
When we got there they sat us at a beautiful candlelight table with no one around us so we had our privacy, the maître d gave us our menus and let us know Dallas would be our server.. the servers assistant (didn’t even know this was a thing) poured our glasses of water and brought out our bread and butter. The butter itself was pecan honey butter—as soon as we tasted it we knew this was about to be something completely different!!
The wine menu was so extensive and our server was knowledgeable on exactly what we were looking for—a semi-sparkling sweet white. We ordered the Rockefeller oysters and the first taste immediately brought me back to my adolescence of eating my grandmas greens.. they had an amazing smokey flavor with the freshest toppings I’ve ever had.
For the entrees he ordered a Delmonico steak with sautéed shrimp, au poivre sauce and a side of Mac and cheese. I had the chefs special for the day—goat cheese polenta, swordfish with shrimp and lump crab meat.. when I tell you we ate the food so slowly just to savor every bite.. I honestly think we talked about the food the whole time we ate!!
When Dallas came back and asked if we wanted dessert how could we say no?! Vanilla bean crème brûlée…. My newest love. Light and sweet with a crunchy carmelized top that tasted like a roasted marshmallow with whip cream and vanilla shavings.
100000/10 recommend, it is a little pricy but for the service, food and how many leftovers we had left over it is absolutely worth it! We...
Read moreDecided to stop in while visiting Palace Hotel and Casino, after my massage. I was greeted by one of the managers, Carla who was very pleasant. She greeted me with a smile and told me about the special of the day. It sounded good so I decided to give it a try. Wasn’t too busy only a handful of people, however I did get there before 6pm. Jason and Josh were my servers. They took my orders and kept my water cup filled. I accidentally dropped my butter knife and another manager ( I suppose) who was walking by saw and got me another one. My good also came out fast and the meat was cooked to perfection just the way I requested it. Never had I had to ask for anything as both Josh/ Jason came over multiple times to ensure everything was ok. Took the rest home and had it for lunch the next day and it was even better! Great steakhouse to visit if you haven’t been. Thank you again to all the staff for your wonderful service, you...
Read moreI went here on Valentine's day approx 1-2 years ago. When I asked people I trusted, they said things like "I could eat til I hurt myself" so we were excited to try it. After spending a couple hundred bucks, all I can say is it was awful. Is risotto supposed to be crunchy? the salad was either made with spoiled champagne or wine (i.e. horrible vinegar) or worse. Both of our filets were criminally overcooked and the desserts were what one would expect from a hospital cafeteria. The waiter (younger fellow) obviously knew we were disappointed bc we didn't eat the food. He was very accusatory and pressing, which we found off putting on our special night. So I paid the bill and tipped 15% because I'm a nice guy. We then went to the sports bar and had a burger that was 1000% times better than anything we had from Mignon's. Maybe I'm in the minority but that is exactly...
