Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Biloxi

We were so disappointed.

For one. I don't know when this location went from table service to counter service, but that was definitely a shock and disappointment. I can understand that though, staffing is hard lately, especially in the food industry.

It was just about everything else that was a huge disappointment. The Patty's on all of our burgers were smaller than the buns, we didn't get our soft drinks until after our food was there and the shake until we were ready to leave. We had to go back to the counter for extra to-go cups. The runner that brought us everything was extremely rude and unhelpful.

There was too much ice in my cup, so when I tried to put my straw in it went straight through the side and I never could get my water replaced, much less a second cup to keep the mess from continuing. My boyfriend went to ask for these things at the counter only to get a couple of napkins, I didn't even see garbage cans to clean up the mess. It just sat on our table, on its side so it wouldn't continuing pouring water everywhere. The runner didn't say anything about it or at least bring more napkins when she finally came with our shakes.

Our shakes were underwhelming, I always get Cotton Candy and its always been a pretty electric blue, it was extremely pastel, so i knew immediately it wasnt gonna be great. I immediately asked for to go cups since we were done eating and my boyfriend had to eventually go get them himself.

I'm just so disappointed, Steak and Shake has always been great service and great quality for being a fast/casual place that usually has a drive through when it was stand alone.

I'm not one to complain. But sheesh, this was a rough experience. I know it was late on a Sunday but they were fairly busy so I have to guess that they typically have a decent crowd...

We had some bad customer service from other people, if you ask for extra condiments they put five in the bag for five meals I guess one per meal- weird. But my Husband and Dad went down to order and they were charged for our meals a total of about $60 then the waitress told them that she had used the wrong till and was going to need to swipe his card again. My Husband let her know by showing her the account information that the card was already pending charges for her swipe and that we had been charged and did not want two pending charges. He said she was rude (Tracy is her name) thereafter so he asked to speak to the supervisor who was Kendra and she was so nice and helpful. We thought this had all been resolved until the next day when we are back home in GA and see we had been charged again but this time for $30 so a total of $90 charges over two days for five meals when we were no where near Biloxi the second day. We called up to the store and got Kendra and again she was very nice and apologetic but she said it wasn’t anything she could do so she took down our name and number and said she would text it to the Gm so he could give us a call and get it all squared away. Accidents happen and we are easy going so we awaited his call- now two days later no call. So we call Steak and Shake Corporate and are awaiting a call from them back as well because we got a recording after pushing guest complaints saying they were unavailable. First I drove over an hour to get to the nearest location to me (Harrah's casino) on 12/26/22 because I received a gift card to your company and your company wouldn't even accept your own companies gift card. Was told they never have accepted them. So now the one present I got as a gift from our family's Christmas as a dirty Santa gift I cant even use. I feel as thought the price of the burgers and fries would have been reasonable however the price compared to the size SUCKED, also $7.99 for a freaking shake Sonic had a better tasting shake than the one I got and twice the size at a third of the price. The cup also had a hole in it and was leaking and the inside of the cup was chewed up from mixing the drink in the styrofoam cup I probably drank some not sure. And your server and register lady were very RUDE for a Monday night (6:45) with like 3 customers not over worked at all for the moment and the woman passing out food didnt even have a uniform on she was wearing a jogging suit and a small pink backpack. My friend ordered chili cheese fries and was told would have to wait 30 minutes for chili so she ordered something else and a minute later another employee yelled from the back chili done. Over all worst experience ever to be in a higher class location I really expected better, I will NOT be back.
