Bob Evans — Restaurant in Birch Run Township

Daughter and I went there today 10/16/2017. Our waitress was Rude! Ordered a skillet because the menu description didn't have egg ( I don't like eggs ) the pictures also show no egg, when we get our food the bottom of my food has egg. I say oh it didn't say this had egg, she says in a nasty tone yes it does! My daughter and I said that's fine I'll eat around it. A few minutes later another waitress is walking past our table and I stop her and ask if they have cornbeef hash, this one is very nice and says no, but we have pot roast hash. I say sounds ok I'll get our waitress to get me some thank you.when our waitress comes over I ask her about getting an order to try. She gets very rude and says we don't have anything like that! We have pot roast! I said the other waitress was telling us about the hash. She huffs and says let me see, she comes back a few minutes later with a piece of pot roast in a small bowl. I look at her and say this is the hash, she says yes that's what you asked for, I know what hash looks like this was not hash it was a piece of meat. Then proceeds to complain to anyone who will listen to her complain about the other waitress and us asking for this ( mind you were in the closest booth to the counters and kitchen so we hear everything). I tell my daughter who is getting madder by the minute I'm ready to go, she agrees! I see the nice waitress when we're leaving and she asks how I liked the hash, I tell her I wouldn't know, cause I wash brought just plain pot roast. Then I tell her I hope she won't get any flack because I asked her that question. The woman that cashed us out heard us talking and keep apologizing. When we were walking out the door there's a Large sign advertising pot roast hash! My daughter wanted to drag the waitress out to show her. I just wanted to leave. Very disappointed been going to Bob Evans since I was a small child and will never go to the one in...

Food was delicious as always! But our service was less than ideal. Samantha was our server on 10/16 and she said that she is a manager there. She went on and on about how she had to go work the Saginaw location and all the demands she made to make it worth her while. She said when they offered her $16/hr for management she laughed in their face and demanded more. Also, another manager brought us our food, then she came by and was talking crap about how he is the night manager and doesn't know what he's doing. When she eventually asked how our food was, I said it's really good and that they made sure not to add onions! She then proceeded to call the cook stupid and that she was surprised he remembered not to put onions on my sandwich. She asked if we needed anything, and I said yes napkins. She never brought napkins. She seemed more interested in complaining to us and talking crap than in serving. She also made snide comments to us about the kids that were previously at the table next to us because they made a mess. I understand it's frustrating, but we're not the audience. The last straw was when she said to my fiance "you look so much like my uncle!" And he said jokingly "he must be a pretty cool guy" and she said "more like soulless... ya know, because red head". We're not in middle school and it wasn't funny. As a store manager myself, I would want to know if someone was making my customers uncomfortable the...

This is the second time in as many months that the wife and I have eaten at Bob Evans.

I continue to be pleasantly surprised by this national corporate chain. Their menu is extremely versatile, you have breakfast, lunch and dinner all on the same menu and the selection and variety is very pleasing.

Also the ingredients on the dishes that we've had so far we're incredibly fresh.

The servers and staff seem to be happy and well-adjusted which is important to deliver a positive guest experience.

The layout of these stores is extremely efficient with a large foyer area for waiting if necessary, although we haven't had a way at either of the two we went to.

I like the fact that everything is well spread out and you don't have to sit next to people who might have the plague.

Everything is clean including the restrooms and the checkout areas and they've got some sweets at the register if you'd like to have a candy bar or something like that on your way out the door.

All in all, well done Bob Evans!
