I am so excited to be writing this review, and I hope it helps other brides!
I am a June 2025 bride. I have been in the store personally 3 times now. I said yes to the dress at BBV on March 4, 2024!
Each of the 3 times that I have entered the store (the first by appointment, the 2nd later that same day to say yes to the dress, & the 3rd time on 5/11/24 to pick up my denim jacket) I was greeted with a warm welcome, a friendly smile, & a sincere compliment. Those 3 things alone made me feel so invited and welcome and excited to start this journey!
When I came in for the first time, I had to fill out a registration form while I waited for my consultant, Starla. I was happy to see that there was plenty of comfortable seating available for the guests I brought with me to sit while I filled out my paperwork.
The whole vibe of the store is so fun, uplifting, professional, & classy. I couldn't have been more excited to start shopping. It didn't take long after I finished my paperwork for Starla to greet me and get started. I loved how before she tried to make a sale or do anything business-y, she took the time to sit down, get to know me, ask questions about my fiance & our wedding vision, & understand my style and personality. The entire time she made me feel so welcome and comfortable.
After we talked for a few minutes, she went over the layout of the store, a few different designers and where their collections are located in the store, she told us all about the sale rack and everything else in the store. She then gave me 5 rings and informed me that the company policy politely requests that we don't pull anything off the rack, we just put a ring on the hanger, and Starla will follow and pull the dresses herself and put them in a fitting room for me. I loved how she wasn't like breathing down my neck trying to make a sale like how some places are, she just gave me the freedom to browse and ask questions when needed.
After selecting 5 dresses, we were off to the fitting room. Starla remained incredibly professional and was super knowledgeable about every single dress I put on. She never pushed her opinions on me, she asked me how I felt in the dress. She made me feel like the most important bride in the world & validated my feelings toward each dress I tried on.
I fell in love with each dress. It was so hard to decide. Starla suggested a 'pallet cleanser', which is a dress different from anything else I had tried on to try to reset my mind and make selecting a dress easier. She instantly had a dress in mind & it wasn't even 5 minutes later I was in it.
I instantly saw my fiance at the end of the aisle when I saw myself in the dress. I could hear the wedding march and feel my bouquet in my hand. I knew it was the one I'd be wearing when I said "I do."
I had another bridal dress appointment scheduled for that day, so before I said yes to the dress I went to my other appointment. I did not receive the same welcoming, intimate experience that I did at BBV. That in itself validated my feelings about going back to BBV and getting my dress!
When I returned, Starla was busy with another guest. However, she made sure to acknowledge me and ask me about my other appointment without sacrificing the same experience I had from the other bride she was assisting.
When she was able, she quickly got me back in my dress, put a veil and tiara on my head to help complete the look, and she took the time to have me close my eyes, picture my wedding day, then open my eyes and make sure that was the dress I was going to be wearing. There was no question about it, that was MY dress! And Starla found it for me! I feel like I owe her my whole wedding! Someone who I had known for less than an hour was able to take the time to understand me, my style, and my wedding vision enough to find THEE dress! That is incredible if you ask me!
I got a free customized denim jacket when I ordered my dress and was super excited that it only took 2 weeks to arrive! I am beyond happy with my experience at BBV and HIGHLY recommend them to any...
Read moreI am so disappointed to be writing this. Our first experiences with this shop were fantastic. The staff was so kind and the bride and us bridesmaids found amazing dresses! When we went shopping for bridesmaid dresses we ended up going twice. The first appointment we all picked a favorite but decided to think on it before committing. We decided to go for a second appointment, and each girl chose a different dress from the first appointment as their final choice and we ordered that day. Every bridesmaid had a different style and color so the paperwork took a minute but we were assured that weâd be getting the dresses we picked at this second appointment and in our corresponding colors. Recently, we went in for our first alteration appointments and the bride and first bridesmaid went perfect. The second bridesmaid was not as lucky as she walked out of the dressing room in the wrong dress. Sadly, while the dress was the right size and color it was the style from the first appointment and not the style she officially chose at our second appointment. A manager was called over and after reviewing the paperwork said it was âa mistake on their endâ as it looked like they had copied down the style number from our first appointment on the order form by accident. She also, understandably, informed us that it was too late to order the correct dress as the wedding is in October. Now this poor bridesmaid was surrounded by 5 people and desperate to not make a scene, so she went forward with the alterations appointment. No discount or anything was given, only a small apology from staff. She did at least have the 10% off alterations coupon each of us had been given with our dress purchase. After going home, she decided she was just not comfortable in that dress - hence choosing a different dress to go ahead with in the first place. She reached out to the store to ask about her options for refund so she could afford to purchase a dress sheâd actually be confident in, and she was told the most they could do was refund her $90 for the alterations/pinning she would obviously not need now. They said they could not refund her for the dress because she signed off on the order even though that order had the style number of the wrong dress on it. She asked to speak to corporate directly and was given an email, but unfortunately their response was the same. I fail to see how we as customers are supposed to know the paperwork was filled out incorrectly. All of the bridesmaids stood there in their final choice dress and the consultant took down the information and filled out the paperwork. When we went to sign and pay we were told âYou are ordering the dress you had on today, in this color, and this size correct? Please sign here.â so we did. Thereâs no pictures of what each dress looks like on their order form sheet, and we didnât memorize each of our dress tags. We trusted that they plugged in the numbers correctly because theyâre the professionals and they do this all the time. This bridesmaid in particular even asked multiple times that they were ordering the correct dress from our second appointment because she was worried something would go wrong. (Oh the irony) I understand human error happens, and all of us have agreed that weâre not even upset about the paperwork mishap but rather their lack of care in resolving this. If they had been willing to work with her on even a PARTIAL refund for the dress cost I wouldnât be writing this review. If they had refunded her the cost of the dress, but asked that she still pay the pinning fee because that work was already completed by the alterations department I wouldnât be writing this review. Evidently when it comes to Bridal by Viper you canât trust that they write down the right style numbers or that they will be willing to fix a mistake should it happen. Definitely do NOT recommend going to this salon. If you do, definitely be that âannoyingâ person and triple...
Read moreDon't let the overall rating of this place fool you like it did me. Once they get your money, they don't care anymore. Their customer service is terrible, lack quality control, management is horrible, and the owner refuses to speak with customers. They are not a corporation - it's a small business with 0 regard for customer experience.
My first visit went great. Maddie was so helpful with helping me pick my dress. I chose a beautiful dress that come with detachable sleeves. Before i ever made the purchase I explained the importance of the sleeves and without them this wasn't the dress for me. I have bigger arms and wanted them removable and a good fit.
My dress arrives, I go for my first try on. Dress fits great but the sleeves are too small. Alterations team assures me it's not a big deal and they can fix it, but I will have to come back.
2nd visit, sleeves still don't fit even tho they took all my measurements. OK mistakes happen
3rd visit, they still aren't right. I tried to get them to exchange my sleeves from original floor model dress that fit perfectly. They said sure but it's going to be $100 and we are keeping the other sleeves. Trading new sleeves for used sleeves and paying more money on an already $2800 dress was not a fair solution in my opinion. Talked to the manager Starla, waste of time. Tried to get in touch with the owner but the response was she didn't talk to customers it would go thru management.
I end up agreeing to have custom sleeves made. They assured me these would fit like a glove, would use my original lace and the change would unnoticeable. So I give them another $400 trusting their "professional opinion "
4th visit - custom sleeves don't fit. They are too tight. Before i even try the dress on they tell me they got faulty clasps and I wouldnt be able to take it home today. They had my dress for almost 3 months and didnt bother to check the clips until i was there. . However the rest of my body had shrunk 2-3 inches and it needed taken in at the shoulders, chest, waist, and hips. As a bride this is exciting so I gave them grace again and agreed to have a small gusset added in the armpit - that no one would notice according to their their team.
5th visit - my wedding is 6 days away. The sleeves are even worse. I try on my dress, the "custom sleeves" are now too big. Sloppy big, the excess materiel at the shoulders created a t-shirt button busting effect. The gusset went in a v shape starting in my armpit and the seam ran from the middle of my arm front and back. The additional fabric they used was a different shade completely. At this point I am so upset and lose my cool. How is this happening!? They ask me to leave and give them 30 mins or so to figure it out. I come back, Starla then tells me there are brand new sleeves for this dress arriving on today's truck that are the size I need and we will try those. These fit beautifully! All that was needed was an adjustment of the clips. This is the solution that should have been offered from the beginning instead of wasting 25 hrs of my drive time, over $600 in gas, $400 custom sleeves that were never reimbursed, and the mental stress of my dress not being ready in time.
When I finally left with my dress, they acted like they did me a favor by sending me with new sleeves. Never once did anyone apologize or make any effort to correct this. It was so disappointing. At the end of the day customers service matters most and these guys failed every...
