I missed the opportunity to come with the Yelp Elites, so I definitely wanted to check it out and give them my review either way. The location appeared to be in a strange place for a coffee shop. It’s in the middle of what appears to be an industrial park. However, there were lots of people inside when we arrived on Saturday morning about 9:30. There is an outdoor patio with tables and umbrellas for anyone that loves the steamy southern heat. Inside, the huge windows provide an abundance of natural light, which I love. As someone who also loves photography, it provides some great lighting and reflections. The menu is on the short side, but they do have a variety of options of drinks, along with a few select pastries. I opted for the basic drip coffee, which had great flavor and was smooth, like I like it. My son got the latte and enjoyed it as well. When Ethan brought our order to the table, I was surprised to see the drinks in actual mugs, rather than disposable cups. They were also smaller mugs, which was disappointing. However, Ethan turned my disappointment into surprise and delight when he said we had free refills! I don’t know if this is their usual rule or he offered free refills due to the brief delay in getting our order. The crowd was mixed on this Saturday morning. I saw young individuals studying, a young family with their baby, an older couple enjoying conversation, and everything in between. The restrooms are down a hallway in back. They’re very nice and clean. Ethan told me that they share the restrooms with four other businesses in the building. I love the open space , the lighting, the friendly staff and the delicious coffee here. I definitely want to come back at nighttime and see what it looks like with the indoor lighting!

5 Stars – A Blueberry Mocha Blessing! If I could give Whammy Coffee 10 stars, I would. I walked in expecting just another decent cup of coffee—and walked out having experienced one of the most unexpectedly magical drinks of my life. The blueberry mocha is, quite simply, a masterpiece. Somehow, they’ve taken the rich, bold flavor of perfectly roasted espresso and swirled it together with the sweet, slightly tart taste of fresh blueberries and silky chocolate. It’s like a coffee dessert hybrid, but without being overly sweet. Just… balanced and beautiful. The atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming, with the kind of vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The baristas are not just friendly—they’re artists. You can tell they actually care about what they’re crafting. Whammy Coffee isn’t just a coffee shop—it’s a hidden gem that needs to be on everyone’s radar. Whether you’re a coffee purist or just in it for the flavors, do yourself a favor: try the blueberry mocha. Thank me later.

We’re not from the area—about two hours away—but decided to check this place out after seeing a lot of good reviews while visiting nearby spots. Unfortunately, the popular “Double Whammy” wasn’t available because they were out of Coke, and nothing similar was suggested in its place. We ended up ordering a regular latte and iced mocha. The coffee was decent but nothing that stood out—it tasted like what you’d expect from most standard coffee shops. Overall, it was okay, but not quite worth the hype for us.
