Encore Theatre and Gallery — Attraction in Birmingham

Went to a Christmas show in December that I was excited about however the show was scheduled for 5pm but didn’t start until 8pm. We had to sit in the lobby for nearly 3 hrs because they stated the people who purchased food had to eat first. I asked for a refund due to the show not starting on time and I had other events to attend but they said no refunds and I tried waiting but by the time the show started we were falling asleep. They stated the show would only be delayed maybe a hr and a half but didn’t because some of their cast were late. On top of that we tried buying drinks to at least make it worth it however the bar was cash only. So I was out $100, ended up not seeing a show, waited for what seemed like forever and was thirsty! Maybe attaching an itinerary to the event promo would be helpful. This could’ve been a simple refund now I’m having to still fight with my claims department to try to resolve the issue. 0 out of 10…. Last night, I attended the play, Grown Man Issues at Encore Theatre and Gallery with my friend. I was low-key excited to see Willie Taylor because I've been a fan since Making Da Band & Day 26. At the end of the show, it was announced that he was unavailable due to a medical emergency.

The cast must clearly believe in "The show must go on" saying because it did just that and to the audience, without a hitch. Turns out, his stand-in was being fed lines in his earpiece and we never would have guessed it. The acting was amazing and the details of the play were unpredictable.

Grown Man Issues took us on a dramatic roller-coaster with a comedic relief along for the ride.
