Scooter's Coffee — Restaurant in Bismarck

I’ve been looking for a small coffee shop that isn’t Starbucks since moving to Bismarck and decided to give this place a try. I got the energy infusion with prickly pear and coconut and it was super good. I’m not too sure about when I’ll be going back though due to service. Whoever was working the window on 12/3 around 3:30 pm was absolutely terrible. When I got to the window they were talking about about another costumer. That was so uncomfortable and sad to see. Then they were super rude about the card reader. It seemed that it’s a regular occurrence that the tip screen gets missed with how this person responded but it’s not that serious… life is a lot better when you spread kindness. *i am editing this post because it was removed due to being flagged. Just went through scooters and ordered 3 drinks. The girl handed me the drinks while she was taking another order. When she finished, I said I was apple paying. She said they can’t take electronic payments because their machine has been down all day. Told her I didn’t have cash and she got another kid to come over. He asked if I had another way to pay and I said no. He asked for the drinks back. I get that. It would have been useful information to have before I ordered, and before they gave me the drinks and I gave them to the kids, but I get it. The part I don’t get is that he then handed me 3 free drink cards. Is it just me or is that one of the dumbest things you’ve heard? I asked if I could use them on the 3 drinks he took back from me and he said no my order was too much money and these are for a future visit. No thank you.
