This has to be absolutely the worst restaurant I have eaten at. I have quite literally been to third world countries that had better food and I did not get severe food poisoning. Here I did. For starters everything is wildly expensive and of the absolute lowest quality. You can quite literally get filet mignon at Walmart that’s of superior quality. However let’s start at the burger that they first attempted to poison me with the tomatoes were rotten black and and growing some kind of mold. When pointed out to someone working there they come off as extremely inconvenienced and rude. It wasn’t until I flagged down a different person that it was taken away and told I wouldn’t be billed for the outrageously expensive dog food they call a cheeseburger. The truth is I shouldn’t have been billed for anything as the rest of the food wasn’t any better. My wife ordered the filet mignon and it was toughest cut of meat I had ever seen in my life. Though I wasn’t surprised has it was brought with a knife that was akin to to an 1800s lumberjacks tree saw. Hey at least I got in my upper body work out that day. The sauce was absolutely disgusting as well and tasted like whatever components they used to make this concoction were well expired. I think your chef should apply for a job at Guantanamo bay, because it was torture even making an attempt to swallow. Now I know how my wife feels after she rewards me for doing the dishes. By the way don’t name something truffle fries if they’re covered in truffle flavored butter, there’s a fine line between imitation and real. I learned that hard lesson when I visited a Tijuana strip club at 18. The steak fries also were undercooked in oil that had a smell and taste of fish that would make the hippies at burning man blush. Now on to the Brussels sprouts, did you guys just discover fire? Brussels sprouts aren’t supposed to crunch and taste like the back of an old oven. However I’ll give you one tho the asparagus was the only thing cooked right. However you couldn’t just let it be it’s like you guys made a team effort to really screw the pooch. The sauce that was put on it just really pissed me off, good thing I developed skills as a toddler to use any condiment available to make my food more palatable. I visited on July 22 and lucky for you have been too busy to write a review. Though I have spent long nights pacing in my kitchen phone in hand ready to give my 1 star review until my wife yells at me to get back to bed. Anywho thanks for ruining my wife’s birthday, definitely was not what we expected after dropping so much money in...
Read moreNothing short of an A+ experience at The White Buffalo Grille for my husband and I. The atmosphere was as anticipated for this type of dining. Our table was one with a view of other casinos on the strip in Blackhawk, that, included with the busy street below made our conversation upbeat and ducky 😊 The food was excellent from the appetizers to the main course. The appetizers that we chose to enjoy were the Sea Scallops and Calamari. The Sea Scallops, as expected, had a milder punch and almond-like flavor, and the Calamari had the slightest sweet flavor and was seasoned just right. We had the Surf and Turf and Ribeye, for our main course, all were robust and the steaks were cooked medium as ordered. I even requested my ribeye be butterflied, and to my surprise, it was not dry and that is hard to achieve when butterflying a steak. The only thing that we would have changed, about the meal, was having the option to have truffle butter on our steaks, but "oh well" most restaurants don't have it as a choice on their menu anyhow. As far as service, we can not recall the waiter's name who served us. Of course, this is more than likely because the wine was so good and going down so well 😂 The waiter; however, was very personable and quite a character which only added to our dining experience. Pleeease don't let the bad reviews on here fool you! You can seriously be Jesus Christ and not make some people happy 😂 Our dining experience was very enjoyable and also a perfect start to a great gambling experience. We are definitely looking forward to making another reservation at The White Buffalo...
Read moreI have been a regular here for over 20 years. On my recent visit we arrived to an empty restaurant and a completely revised menu. First off, the steaks, wedges, lobster chowder and bread were good. Issues I had was horrible tasting red Demi glace sauce which I had replaced with even worse Béarnaise sauce that looked like it had been sitting out for hours and cold. They have gone ala cart for sides now. Got the Asparagus that was over cooked and drowned in sauce (sauce not mentioned on menu) and presentation was comical. The steaks did have a cold parsnip puree on the plate that tasted horrible and was cold. Was told by the server that is a bonus gift from the chef and was mainly for presentation. I mentioned all of the above to our server and told him I would talk to his manager. He said he would let the chef know and noticed the server didn’t seem to care either. Saw him talk to the manager and she didn’t seem to care either and never came to talk to us. Nothing was adjusted off the bill either. The old White Buffalo had employees who cared and made sure the best was delivered. The new chef and menu is a joke and sad attempt at being “fancy” with the plating. Was talking with a staff member at the fast food counter and he said he heard that White Buffalo had gone down hill also. Sadly it seems this is known and the empty restaurant showed why. I will NEVER return to this...
