Centro Taco Bar — Restaurant in Blacksburg

Customer service here is practically non-existent. I am a GrubHub driver, and I have gone here many times to pick up my clients’ orders. I have also gone here myself one time. Every time I have walked into the establishment, I have been treated as if I wasn’t there. I’ve stood at the podium where the wait staff should be waiting (they’re not) and even walked into the center of the place and the employees never said anything to me, despite walking around serving other clients. This can persist for over 10 minutes in some cases before they finally ask if they can help you. Today, I walked straight to the back instead of waiting at the podium or in the center of the restaurant and stood next to a waitress at a counter. She ignored me for over 5 minutes. This has happened on more than one occasion. Also, the kitchen makes frequent errors with online orders. In the age of a pandemic where online ordering is more popular than ever, they really need to improve. Once, I ordered for food to be picked up at 2:30PM but they made it at 11:30AM and had it sitting at the pick up area ever since. When I went to get it, the waitress told me about the issue and I had to wait around for them to remake it. This once again is after waiting for 10 minutes without being acknowledged. I will never visit this place again nor accept another GrubHub order from them. I will reject all offers I receive for this place, even though that hurts my rating. That’s how much I hate it. Definitely the worst customer service in the city...

Now one of my favorite places. You've got to try the steak tacos and the buffalo chicken tacos. You also HAVE to try the "fries plate" and get the steak covered one. It's absolutely amazing and is well worth the money. All the food I've gotten has amazing flavor and texture. The best way I can describe the taste is: clean, fresh, crisp, flavorful, and fulfilling. The tacos are not soggy at all and they put crunchy/crisp vegetables on top of everything to create this amazing flavor/texture combo that is hard to find. One thing I have to mention is drinking there. Very good selection of drinks and vibrant colors and scenery. Everyone working there are super friendly and the music is nice. In summary, it is a great place to have some drinks with friends and listen to some music. Very high-class, modern, and clean look is much better than the prices would leave you to believe. You have to visit Centro Taco Bar! Good place for food, drinks, and music. Has an aesthetic that is worth way more than the cost of food and the environment and servers are extremely polite. Three stars for Food. One star for service.

The food here is pretty promising we had some issues with the heat level and a few flavor choices but that is more preference then fact.

What is fact is how bad the take out service is. We showed up when our order should have been ready only to be told that someone else had taken it or it was never made they were not sure. So we had to wait ten minutes our food to be remade. When my husband returned with the food we found a whole part of our order missing so he went back to get what we paid for. There was apparently a hand off between employees as a second girl once again gave my husband the food. This time he check and we were again short. Apparently she had bagged our remaining order in a different bag!!! And gave him back our original order..... He had to ask again for our missing food before we were able to get our full order.
