Incorrect items put on my sandwich, called and was told I could come by after work for a replacement (I was already back at my office and couldn't immediately return). 5 minutes later I received a call back from the owner, Carla, who told me that she made my sandwich herself and KNEW she put the right ingredients on it and demanded that I return at that moment with my food to show them that they made it wrong because she "knew that wasn't true". She also said that IF it was wrong, it must have been my fault and I must have grabbed the wrong sandwich....considering my food was handed to me by her employee and still had the receipt on it with my name, that was false. She was extremely inappropriate and disrespectful. I did return after work for a replacement sandwich, where I printed a copy of my receipt showing what I ordered (they also said I put in my order wrong, even though my receipt showed otherwise), and was again greeted with passive agression and poor customer service from the owner, Carla. Very dissapointed. I hope in the future, they treat their customers with kindness and respect, especially when they are the ones who made the mistake.
ETA I did follow up as requested and was simply told that my message would be passed to upper management at this location so that this doesn't happen again in the future......okay and? No refund offered, no human being calling to apologize, nothing but an automatic response to help their image. I will never eat at this location again and highly recommend anyone who wants a sandwhich to go to Macados, Wich Which, or even Subway. All are far better choices than UCB...
Read moreUnfortunately this will not be our usual good review for Firehouse Subs. During my phone order I specifically asked that they bag the orders separately because they were going to 2 different places and provide extra pickles for each bag. When my husband picked up the order it was in one bag and he just left that alone. However there were only 2 pickles for 4 people so he went back and complained. The guy said he couldn’t remember which sandwiches were supposed to be separate so he decided to put everything together and apologized that there were only 2 pickles and gave my husband a few more. Hubby delivered to sandwiches/pickles to my parents and then brought ours home. As you can see by the attached pictures our ham sandwich only had ham in the middle of the sandwich with nothing on the end except for a tiny bit of mayo (we asked for extra mayo) and a tomato. So not only did Firehouse dropped the ball in service they didn’t do very well with the...
Read moreDelicious Food and Outstanding Service! Firehouse Subs in Blacksburg, VA, near Virginia Tech, is an absolute gem! Every time I visit, I’m greeted with friendly smiles and exceptional customer service. The staff are attentive, quick, and clearly take pride in what they do.
The subs are always fresh, generously packed, and full of flavor. My personal favorite is the Hook & Ladder – the combination of smoked turkey breast, Virginia honey ham, and melted cheese is perfection. They also offer a great selection of toppings and sides, so there’s something for everyone.
The atmosphere is welcoming and clean, and the firehouse theme adds a unique charm to the dining experience. Plus, knowing they support first responders makes dining here even better.
