I just recently started going to smoothie King. I've gone about 5 times in the city where I live, and I love the gogi crunch bowl. I came to Chicago Heights yesterday to visit family and wanted a gogi crunch bowl. I pulled up this location and went inside. I was told it was drive-through only. Okay, no big deal. Went to the drive-through, placed my order, and asked for bananas. 1 car in front of me. Now it's my turn, I pay, and shortly afterward, I get the bowl. It was made very sloppy, first of all, stuff all down the side of the bowl. The inside had me looking like, whatbis this? I noticed no bananas. I tell the cashier it's missing bananas. So she takes the bowl back and I'm waiting and waiting and waiting. So I'm like, what's taking so long to add bananas? So finally she hands me the bowl. Still sloppy looking, I asked where's the drizzle. She says oh its under the toppings. I'm like how would you know , you never left the register. So I get home ( no drizzle) eat the bowl about 7 something š¤ Fast forward about 2 am, l could barely make it to the bathroom. I really feel like a laxative was placed in my food. I have not stopped using the bathroom since 7:30 pm yesterday, Saturday. It is now 8:55 am, Sunday. I can't prove this and know for sure but I strongly believe this to be true. The way I'm going to the bathroom, only a laxative can do this. The other 2 meals I had yesterday, so did my other family members, about 4 of them and nothing like this for either of them. This location needs to retrain the employees and get the bad apples out. 1st incident- ordered a 44 ounce. It was 3/4 full. Which never happens at other locations. I asked them to fix it, the employee (chubby guy with braids) Cops an attitude, just adds ice to it to thicken up. Now the smoothie tastes horrible and watered down. I told him I needed another one, his response- "we're out of ingredients thats why I added extra ice" thats NOT a resolution. I asked for a refund and since no manager is on-site, they had to call manager (I waited 15min for manager to call back) then they gave me a refund.
2nd incident - Ordered 3 smoothies, 1 was 3,/4 full and the other 2 were completely wrong. The employee (chubby guy with braids) argues with me and tells me I ordered the wrong smoothie! I DID NOT order wrong smoothie. He then confesses and says we out of ingredients so I did what I could. He literally just made up a recipe and gave it to me. Horrible. You cannot walk into this location so if you order on the app you have to wait in the drive through line which is annoying. They have a staff of 1 at least it feels that way and that staff of 1 does not make the drinks right I actually handed the drink back immediately when I was handed it because I knew immediately it was made incorrectly so the staff of 1 who doesnāt know how to make it tried again with a attitude of course. Then I was handed the same drink just blended and water added . There was nobody there except the staff of 1 so I just lost the 8 dollars.
