Lina's Filipino Marketplace — Restaurant in Bloomingdale

Extremely disappointed! I love Filipino food and wanted to try a new grocery/restaurant closer to my house. Rather than driving to my usual favorite. I should have went to my usual favorite. Grocery, disappointed with their selection. Completely disappointed and offended with the staff. Waited in line for the hot food. Which the woman behind the counter completely skipped me, completely acknowledging me and started to service the Filipino behind me. After she served that person, the continued to ignore me. Which I then had to tell her that I was in line prior to that other customer and wanted to order. Ordered one item, then she walked away again. Had to tell her that there were more items that I wanted. One of which was pancit. She attempted to give me the one sitting on the counter which was completely dried on top. I requested fresh consider that had been sitting there for some time. I was barely spoken to and the food was not good at all. Okay, I really have no right giving this place 5 stars because I have only tried one thing-but that one thing is SO DAMN GOOD! I stopped in for my first time to purchase a bottle spicy vinegar my friend was raving about (Datu Puti pinoy kurat, which is delicious, btw) and grabbed a pack of their Spanish bread because I had heard good things. OMG, so good! I was expecting it to be a savory bread, but it is sweet and delicious and soft with a crunchy bottom. I can't stop thinking about and I wish I would have bought more because I live over two hours away. Next time I am in the area I am going to try more of their homemade food! Okay, I have consistently enjoyed the quality of the food at this establishment. However, I have experienced recurring issues with order accuracy. Specifically, the sinangag option for silog meals has frequently been unavailable during my visits. Additionally, there have been instances where my orders have been incorrect. On a separate note, I've often observed a particular older female staff member who appears disengaged and less than enthusiastic about their work, which contributes to a somewhat unwelcoming atmosphere.
