Super upset about tonight.. I would go to Atlas every time i went out to start the night and never had a problem and loved the staff and got along so well with them. I always dress very alternative and have a lot of tattoos, piercings, and dyed hair. I went tonight with my tattoos covered and had a spray tan for graduation (same with my other friends) and everyone was in super casual clothes, looking like “normal college kids” cause no one was prepared dressed up to go out. We walked in, nobody was at the door to card us (we’re all 22+ and have had 3 drinks tops for the night before admin tries to say we were ‘too drunk and disturbing the bar’) we got in line to get a drink and the bouncer yelled at us to get back then proceeded to say “you guys aren’t welcome here” and got kicked out. Have no idea what we did but we’re treated so horribly. Would’ve never expected that from this staff but half of my group was colored and felt weirdly targeted and the other half probably looked too “fratty” or “sorority” like because we had our tans and normal clothes…. Weird ass response for people coming for one drink. So disappointing cause this was always my favorite bar (can’t wait to see what backhanded things are said for this review.. I’ve read the others and they always seems to be a clap back to save their ass. Incredibly...
Read moreI rarely leave reviews, but I was so disappointed at my treatment here last night that I felt I had to post. After showing the bouncer my ID, I was promptly told “no undergrads” and was ushered away from the door. It really shouldn’t be relevant, but I’m 23 with a degree (not from IU) and a full time job. Not to mention I was literally born and raised in this town, and my family has been here for over 3 decades. I nearly get it, you’re trying to be an oasis of millennial and older in a sea of college bars. However, the bouncer was so incredibly rude about it that I will never be returning. A certain level of tact is necessary if you’re going to be selective about what kind of person you want in your bar. Shaming people for their appearance and age is not tact, it’s bully behavior, and it has no place at ANY establishment. Save your money and go to a different bar if you look like you’re still on your...

If you want to play skeeball, justify your vote for Jill, wonder if you should every finish that degree because you never could leave town this is your hangout. Bleak. .... The response below is likely why they have mostly positive reviews, if you do not like the place the response is a personal, potentially damaging attack. The truth is not in them. The response was a transparent attempt to remove a negative reviews by use of personal slurs, and bullying people. So assume that there are many other people with negative reviews who have been bullied off the review page. The only other negative review also has with a response that is a personal attack. So adjust your estimate of the actual ratings accordingly. I thought the place was bleak. Now, with the response below, I think...
