As a wedding planner, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Madison and The Frock for years. A few years ago, we even held a Southern Indiana Wedding Professionals meeting at The Frock, where we got to try on pieces and admire the gorgeous collection. That evening, I spotted a stunning blue and white floral dress and declared, “If I ever get married again, this will be my dress.”

Fast forward almost two years, and I found myself standing in The Frock with my mom and stepmom for my own bridal appointment. After trying on a few traditional gowns, I told them I wanted to show them the dress I had fallen in love with years ago—though I had no intention of purchasing it. It was bold and beautiful, but I thought I was just showing it off.

The moment I put it on, they both exclaimed, “This is it!” Seeing myself in that dress, I couldn’t stop smiling. It was everything I wanted and more—bold, unique, and even featuring mine and my fiancé’s favorite color. The dress felt like it was meant for me, and that moment of realization was unforgettable.

Madison is a dream to work with, and The Frock is filled with so many incredible and one-of-a-kind gowns. Madison and The Frock Bridal are exactly what Bloomington needs!

I had tried on dresses at a David's Bridal in my hometown with my mom and it was a terrible and overwhelming experience. I was really hesitant to go to another store but when Madison told me they do private appointments (meaning I would get the whole store to myself) I decided to give it a try.

During my appointment (that I went to solo), I was able to talk with Madison and look through the dresses at my own pace. The shop is gorgeously decorated and you feel comfortable, like you're at a friend's house, instantly. Y'all the dresses in there are absolutely BEAUTIFUL. She has an amazing selection from independent designers that give you excellent options for a unique dress without having to dive head-first into bold, trendy styles. One of my runner-up choices was an A-line spaghetti strap dress but the fabric the designer used was simply magical. I didn't purchase a dress my first visit but made plans to do a re-try appointment with my mom and a few friends.

I found my frock during my re-try appointment and cannot wait to wear it for my New Orleans wedding. Honestly, I'm sad that I will only get to pick one dress from this shop. If you're getting married, I highly recommend starting here before...

This is hands down the best place to shop for your wedding dress! Especially if you are looking for something unique. Madison is so thoughtful and accommodating. She makes a point of not pushing for sales and making sure you have a great experience. She was so helpful with pointing out items she thought I would like and probably would have let me try on just about everything in her shop if I had asked. She was also very conscious of my budget and was great about trying to keep to it and let me know what was realistic. The selection is incredible! All indepent designers with fantastic styles and a ton of variety. I had tried on at another, larger shop and saw nowhere near the same variety - and variety that I loved! There were about 5 dresses that were contenders. Then Madison pointed out another from a designer I had liked (which she had initially pulled for me but I had passed by) and it blew the rest away. We discussed potential mods to make it fit my day better and she was able to reach out to the designer. Can't say enough good things!
