Burger King — Restaurant in Bloomington

August 7th. 2025: They forgot the cheese on my 2 chicken sandwiches. Paid $2 extra for it. Both sandwich wrappers were marked that they had cheese, so I didnt investigate farther at the drivthru before I left. At this point, it's basically my fault.

As a side note, my Dr. Pepper was marked diet and my mom's diet was marked as other.

I went back to get the cheese even though it is a long drive. The people were nice about it. I'm not sure I could make this stuff up. Picture included.

July 2025 edit: We don't go to this BK very often. It is not the closest, however our local BK is terrible. This BK seems to have an issue with cheese. They tend to short you cheese no matter what you say or how much money you give them. A Whopper with cheese is supposed to have TWO slices of cheese. You can CLEARLY see this on the BK website. However, they only give one. I asked for (and was charged for) extra cheese on my Double Whopper. I got two slices, which is what you are supposed to get (again, if you go on the BK menu website, it clearly shows two slices. Extra should be four slices or at least three. My burger was mediocre. A double whopper NEEDS four slices. My mom's regular whopper only had a single slice, which barely covers 1/2 the burger patty. I don't expect my food to look like the pictures, but I do expect the photo to be representative of what you get. Two slices means two slices. AND I was charged money. Which really annoys me. Furthermore, I was told I could not sub chicken fries for fries. They "let it slide" this time, but that is ridiculous. BK allows you to do this. I don't care if it is a franchise or not. They need to follow the menu BK lays out. This is the second time I've been shorted cheese. Next time I won't just leave a review, I will contact BK corporate about it. Follow the menu. I DO NOT want free food, but I do like getting what I pay for. That doesnt seem like it should be a bar you don't hit, but here we are. And please explain to your employees what the little nubs on the top of the sodas are for. We had to go home and do smell tests to figure out which soda was which. It's not that hard to just pop the little diet or other nubbin down. Otherwise, the people were nice enough. Overall just a mediocre experience. And that isn't a complement. Original review (2021): Ordered 2 original chicken sandwichs with cheese. Paid for the cheese. I think it was $1.20 or something. See the photo of the cheese: Thanks bk. Came in with my children while my car was being serviced across the street thinking we could just get a few milkshakes and fries while we wait for my truck to be fixed. NOPE! I was met with nothing but disrespect. Walking in, serveal employees starred as I was coming in with my children. No one greeted us, no one smiled. No one said a word. No big deal for me though! I sat my kids down at a table, and proceeded to the counter where I was met with a young girl in a purple sweater with her arms crossed just standing there. I waited a moment, and asked "hi, can I place my order" Not saying a word, she walks away. Me, being confused, I just stand there. A young boy then comes around the counter and says "what" ... me Puzzled, I ask, "is anyone working here or? "....He replies with "why" ... I then ask, "is there a manger here? "....He replies "why" ... at this point, I wanted to grab my kids and just leave. Because huh?? Moments after that a short, heavier set woman comes from the back and says "can I help you" and I proceed to ask, "what's going on? Are any of these people employees? " .. immediately a burst of anger comes out from this woman's mouth, and from behind me comes a random young teenager swearing at me. Again, puzzled, I turn to her and ask her does she even work here? She says "YES, and that's my mom!"... confused, I say what does that have to do with anything? " ... are you working right now?" She replies "no" i said ok then im not speaking to you. In Spanish, the heavier set woman tells the young girl to "shut up" .. completely thrown off from what just all unfolded, both me and the woman (store manger? ) takes a deep breath and she proceeds to "apologize " stating that she thought I was angry and just wanting to cause issues. I apologized, very confused how that was even possible, I let it go. I just felt uncomfortable at this point though. I decided to leave without spending a PENNY at this establishment, as the store manger begs to take my order. No thank you! I'll go walk in the cold with my children before I let a place where I wanted to spend my hard working money treat me less than a customer. Contacted corporate and haven't heard anything back 👎🏾 will never return to this location and I wouldn't suggest...

I have been to this location countless times so, this review is based solely on my most recent visit this past week. We stopped in to grab take-out in the early evening. We decided to order inside as the line for the drive-thru was quite long. The restaurant was quiet inside with only a few other diners. We were greeted quickly and placed our order. The lady who helped us [not sure if she's an associate or manager but, she has been there for a very long time!] was friendly, as she always is. We only waited a few minutes for our order and were on our way. We ordered Impossible Whoppers and french fries. The sandwiches were well put-together with fresh and plentiful toppings and the fries were hot and crisp. We've rarely [hey! it's fast-casual food...things happen!] had any issues with our food from here though. Service is typically very good, as well. The reason for four stars versus five is the interior decor of the restaurant. It is VERY outdated. It could absolutely use a full overhaul. This is not the fault of the staff, nor does it effect the service/quality of the food but, it does effect the customer's perception when inside. This is a busy location with a large high school just across the way and other stores adjacent. Hopefully the owner has some remodel plans in the near future. As I said, we come here often and don't see that changing. Huge shout-out to Burger King for offering some form of a veggie burger option for over TWO DECADES now!
